Criffel Loop walk

Walking from start point New Abbey, head to the Waterloo monument, straight up and down, and then follow newly installed signs for Knockendoch and carry on following the footpath up to Criffel summit.
Then head down the new tourist path until you meet the SECOND forest road at the sign stating “New Abbey 2 1/2 miles 1hr”. Keep following the signs for New Abbey. You have to cut through a cattle field by the lake, take care as sometimes you have to detour as they can charge at you.
The path out is to the East at the other side of this field. You’ll work it out. Enjoy!
