- We're proud to present our latest short film "Desert Swell" following Edoardo Papa and Val Laforge on a desert odyssey to some of the most insane terrain they’ve ever encountered. Smack dab in the middle of the California desert, what seems like a mirage at first glance, ends up being a surfskater’s paradise.. complete with fast lines, an overhead cradle and even the chance to get a concrete barrel.
Featuring our updated, best-selling Resin and Firefly surfskates with art by legendary resin artist Ryan Martz from Waterman’s Guild. This is what surfskating is all about.

Without people enjoying to cruise transition just to emulate the feeling of surfing just for the fun of it there would be no bowlriding today whatsoever.
But don't worry: 20 years ago when I was still in puberty I was a skateboarding gatekeeper too - eventually you will grow out of it.

Are Carver decks high up off the ground? I imagine that's a big part of why they can turn so sharp, lots of clearance for those trucks to do their thing?

I just bought the exact board the guy was riding and its absolutely amazing how it handles and pumps.
how do you find the deck height, from off the ground, compared to a typical cruiser? Is it a long way to reach down, when you're pushing?
@@Dick67 My surfskate is a smoothstar, but its pretty high up. That doesn't matter though, since I don't do much pushing. Most of my speed comes from pumping, transitions, or down hills. Rarely find myself in a situation pushing (usually only when cruising back up a hill I carve down)
