Increasing tax rates are the reason I rolled over my 401k to a Roth. I don’t want to be 59 paying taxes on current income on withdrawals made from my retirement account.
Pre-tax contributions may help reduce income taxes in your pre-retirement years while after-tax contributions may help reduce your income tax burden during retirement.
Both have their perks but you can also save for retirement outside of a retirement plan, such as in an individual investment account or employing the services of a retirement planner/investment advisor.

Yes, it is good but if you are in your 20s, you can choose active choice and allocate 5% in alternate assets and 75% in equity. And then change it in your 30s or 40s

Looks like HDFC has paid for this promotional video . Why you have selected 5 year period and why not since inception or since last 1 year? Because HDFC has done better in the 5 year period, you have chosen that just to show better returns. Also why to take a rolling return and why not simply point to point comparison? In last year, HDFC has been worst performer in all asset classes. In G1 it is 8th or 9th among 10 PFMs. Always go for PSU companies where there is no mis-selling
Hello, thanks for sharing your concerns. The five-year period is a standard long-term performance metric. Since these are rolling returns based on the available data between September-end 2016 and September-end 2023, this is the best metric we could have used. One year would have been too short a period to evaluate performance, especially of equity. Also, rolling returns are a more reliable metric than point-to-point returns.
New way to hide underperformance in yoy basis..rolling return should campare using sharpe ratio, trenor measure or tracking error. If purpose is to educate investor why not use all metrics to compare and then judge. Stop misguiding people. Just put the entire data and let them pick what is best for them.

NPS literally seems the worst option for retirement... Just do an SIP in any index fund or any good flexicap fund for 15-20 years or until retirement and you are better off than this NPS lock in annuity stupidity. NPS is good only for insurance companies and fund managers AUM..... Just tell me one good reason why I should lock up my hard earned money for so many years and then be forced to buy an annuity?
Why just one? Let us give you a few reasons... 1. You lock your money, AND THAT IS GOOD THING. You need to make sure you have money for your retirement. Self-control to not withdraw before retirement is easy to say but difficult to practice 2. You get asset allocation-based portfolio and tax-free rebalancing. We are sure you know, 90% of a portfolio's returns are because of asset allocation. So that's one thing, and then the rebalancing ensures you buy low and sell high automatically without paying any taxes 3. It's an EEE product. You can save tax beyond the second 80c. There is no tax on the final amount or returns generated. 4. Low cost. It is perhaps the world's cheapest retirement plan. We don't need to tell you the relation between cost and returns. 5. Annuity ensures you get a pension. That's why it is called the National Pension System. This might evolve to find other ways to give pensions, like with the launch of a new systematic withdrawal option.
Agar aapko koe bole 50000 ka maal 35000 me lelo to loge ? Agar ha to nps lelo.
