    Gosh as man that went through USAF basic training in 1976 there were very few females so really admire your dedication.

    Thanks for your HEART symbol and hope you have nice career in USAF. I retired as MSgt in 1996 after 20 years and loved every minute of it.

    Thank you Mikayla. I think if you are attracted to join the military then it does equip you with some good grounding and appreciate responsibilities.

      Thank you. At the end of your military Air Force contract, what contract options are offered to you in case you wish to continue and at what stage do you have to make that decision?

    How do you like being a photojournalist? I just took the ASVAB today and got a 70 and scored a 74 in General. I’m pushing towards a Boom Operator position but I love photography. Was wondering if you could you could speak on how you feel about your job.

    "Ceremony" has a very different meaning in the military. All it means is more inpections and more drilling up to rhe date. If you're not at least E-7, you likely won't get invited to the ball. You'll just sweat your ass off on the grinder for a week.

    i would say clear as mud when reading some of these comments below. lol. bottom line is the military is not for everyone regardless of branch of service or job, nothing wrong doing one term of enlistment and get out.

    You should join the National Guard so you can experience both.
    My Mom and Dad were in the National Guard.
    It sucks that my Sister is still overseas in the Air Force because I found out I have a Nephew awhile ago.

    Hey! I’m having a hard time finding the pat chart for the different careers. Would it be ok if you could send a link to where you can find them?

    Can you truly get a degree while in active duty? I don’t hear much about that? Like is there actual time or does it depend on the nature of your job

    • @Sterlingkataadem
      @Sterlingkataadem 2 роки тому +7

      Yes, take the Post 911 GI bill. While you are active you can go to night school. I did. I earned two CCAF degrees and a bachelor's degree. It all depends on your motivation.

      Yes, you can utilize Air Force Tuition assistance (TA). It pays up to $4500 a year. If you use TA, you can still utilize your Post 9/11 GI bill when you get out. I’m in a 100% online bachelor’s program and I find it very manageable.

      If you intend to stay in, see if you can be commissioned as an officer. Military services can try to keep you as enlisted no matter your education.

      Unfortunately no, not for the Air Force at least. Either 4 or 6 year contract.

      @@MikaylaRoseDaly okay thanks! Also can you go to college after tech school?

    • @MikaylaRoseDaly
      @MikaylaRoseDaly  3 роки тому +5

      @@mazeakajacquestrap3370 so this depends if you're active duty or reserves. In the reserves, you only work one weekend a month and two weeks out of the year, so many people work a full time job or go to college full time. If active duty, you have to get approval from your leadership to complete college classes.
