    Pogo looks like he has some great gaits on him. Milo, looked fantastic over the grids and the oxers that you took him over. Don't listen to the haters, the way I see it they aren't worth your time. You've done what works best for you and especially your horse. And that is the most important thing to remember. Your horse showed you the way he preferred to work up to the bigger fences, and you listened to what your horses, not anyone else, was saying. To me that is the true sign of a great horsewoman. Wishing you, your family and all your subscribers a SAFE, but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Best wishes, from Ontario, Canada, Jenn.

    I'm so glad you've given him such a good foundation in terms of dressage training. It can only pay off. Have a fantastic Christmas and a blessed and prosperous new year. I hope the studies go well and the job stays as fulfilling as working with horses must be. Hug Milo and Banksy for me. I can't wait for Banksy to grow into a magnificent Warmblood stallion.

    Hear a dressage queen? Yes all horses should be taught and trained dressage foundations but most hunter/jumper horses that don't have a back to front change or even a late change are just poorly trained or still working on it, it's not a discipline thing it's a trainer thing. I know the struggle girl, good job with Milo and all your horses, they're looking so great!

    I just love watching these videos, so relaxing, funny, and useful! We are so lucky to have horses in this world, and that they allow us to ride them. It's good for our backs and muscles :) Especially mine, I spend a lot of time on my phone (because I pretty much have nothing else to do, I can't go out alone, my friends and family don't always have time and I have no job, no school, and does not always got the motivation to draw or write).

    Do you ever get nervous coming into jumps? How do you handle that?

    • @re-ridersuzanne
      @re-ridersuzanne 4 роки тому

      If your seat and flat work are solid and your horse understands jumping, then try it. It's a great feeling, but you and your horse need to know what you are doing.
      If you're nervous because of a fall, then take some lessons on an older, trained, dependable school horse.
      If you don't ride, people don't start jumping until they are experienced enough to do it before they start jumping.

    I don't feel so bad now about my new mare kicking out once in awhile during our Canter's, after seeing Milo.
    Is there a particular reason a horse would do this, just curious.
    I want to train her to be a jumper, but not sure if it's safe or not for her. I have even changed saddles, saddle pad, and bit, it seemed to help some, but she still kicks out when we first start warming up Canter's.
    Thanks.

    • @Milestone-Equestrian
      @Milestone-Equestrian  4 роки тому +1

      If you ride in a monoflop saddle or use a short girth than 30 would be the equivalent of a 50 . Same with regards to Western cinches. A 30 in Milos type of girth is usually very small pony or miniature horse sized
