Thanks Rod, You're making me miss Alaska! How many places can you go and see nobody but the wildlife and even the occasional griz. I can close my eyes and see the cook inlet from the seashell cabin. and watch the clouds touching the mountain tops as they drift along. And the taste of a shoreline meal freshly caught. Thanks for a fantastic video Rod. It was inspiring.
Hey Rod, first time commenting. Been watching your videos for years! Appreciate all the work you put in to them, and all the information they hold. Tight lines 🤙🏻
You'll love Dawson City - looking forward to the video of that trip. Also thanks for putting us onto salmon cheeks from your video a year or so ago. A bit finicky to extract but delicious.
Great to hear Dave! I'm not sure what we are going to do yet. We have the option to fly there, but I think most likely we will drive from Whitehorse. 🙂 Maybe we'll see you there, or see you at your stomping ground in the Fraser Valley. I told Linda that she can join in our videos at some point, seems excited. 😄
@@FishingwithRod your welcome very much I really appreciate it I’m a disabled veteran I like fish and other outdoor stuff but my back sometimes prevents me from doing it and I watch a lot of your videos and other fishing videos it keep’s my ptsd and anxiety in check so keep doing what you’re doing I appreciate
The Yukon is definitely on my bucket list for sure, but for now I'll live it vicariously through you two. I work with a couple of graduate students who live up there, so I do get an invite to go up now and then. Thanks for another great vid!
Good connections to have, since there are less than 100k people in the entire territory. 😅 You'll love the grayling fishing if you get up there one day.
That was a healthy brown bear. Very cool to get a look at one of the apex predators of the area. And no Rod, I am not talking about you looking at the reflection of yourself in the water!
What! I need to be the Alpha male... 🤣 That particular bear was already known by the park rangers. We actually told them on the following day and made a bear report, the trails leading to that area were already closed because a half eaten moose carcass was found, eaten by that particular bear so they were just waiting for him to move along before reopening the trails.

Definitely! So different to Australia but also kind of similar in many ways.

Thank-you
Dang. Really wanted to make the first LIKE. 2nd will have to do.
I think you were third actually... 🤣
It's a beautiful view..... But not as beautiful as Vancouver Island ❤❤
They all have their own beauty for sure. Vancouver Island's dense temperate rainforest is unique and definitely can't be replicated.
8 days to walk from Vancouver to the Yukon??? You must have pretty long legs!
Don't forget that you're talking about a human version of the Energizer bunny here...
8 days to walk?
Is Rod Taiwanese?
Yes. 🙂
