My dad told a story at my in-laws Thanksgiving about seeing a kid get ripped in half in a tractor accident in the 60s. Told it like it was the most normal thing in the world. I died of embarrassment.
My mom reads obits in the morning and frequently wakes me up by saying, "guess who died?" so I start the day with a heart attack thinking it's one of my friends or someone else important. Then she says the person's name and it's somebody she went to school with fifty years ago who I've never met, or an actor or politician who I've never heard of.
My mom lives in Mexico and frequently brings up people that I knew from way back in the day just to tell me tha they were involved in a horrible crime or a gruesome accident and I'm like wtf mom... lmao still love her

@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 Yes, I’m aware though they were more so a fashion item of the mid80s-early 90s (ie Full House) thus when the sketch came out they were considered “mom jeans” and now kids who weren’t born when this came out have been told by the fashion industry that these are cool again because the pandemic has called for more comfortable fashion than the skinny jeans of the 2010s

Nuts in eggs benedict at 2:30. My grandmother used to drive my mom up the wall with her "allergies." Nana was allergic to garlic, tuna, Chinese food, sushi, fresh cooked fish, and some types of soup. Subsequently my Mom always had to make a separate dish just for Nana if she ate dinner with us. Years go by and my Mom found out Nana was not allergic to any of this. She just did not like the taste of those foods.
