We're all hoping you're OK. Can't thank you enough and there aren't enough words to adequately express how much you're appreciated by so many of us from all around the world. Cheers!
I hope you're just having a well deserved rest. Wishing you all the best. P.s. more of my work mates are watching your videos now. So comforting to learn about the latest research and facts. Thank you.
“Exchanges of reproductive materials”. And they say romance is dead. 😂
Dr. Campbell's videos, come for the science stay for the racy innuendo! 😎
He's a smoothie!
Classic 😂
I was chuckling at that too. 😂
That was a good one John . Lots of little interesting pieces, put together to make a sensible lighthearted positive and encouraging piece. Brilliant.
I’ve not seen any of your videos before, this popped up on my UA-cam feed. Very interesting and and how enlightening to be hearing somebody giving facts and figures and scientific findings rather than the daily news propaganda and frightening stories. Thank you 🙏🏻
Dr John has been keeping us informed and safe without the politics or fear mongering.
A kewl guy..I trust him ,I get him , he teaches nurses I heard. Neanderthal ...that's actually kewl...context
Mandy Fielder we are from Australia and dr. John has been a god send he gives us the facts and explains everything, he has been doing this since February I think and he called this a pandemic weeks and weeks before anyone else did 💕🌈🦋🇦🇺x
Keep watching his channel. You will learn a lot. Best wishes to you from Adelaide Australia 😊🌏

It's interesting that many modern hospital's windows don't open. Nurses and doctors have complained about this for years, but the architects don't seem to listen.
In my hospital they open very partially, to minimise the risk of deliberate self harm.
Unfortunately it's a health and safety risk situation, to stop people jumping/falling out. Which unfortunately is a problem enough. You have to consider the patients going through mental health issues which often comes to people recovering from physical health conditions too. My source, years of experience. And I wish we could have better ventilation.
Why would they listen? The doctors and nurses aren't the ones paying them. If 100 doctors want the windows to be able to open for health reasons, and a single accountant wants them to be fixed because it will be cheaper, guess which one will happen.
Jay Smith does that account for ground floor wards. Also, from my 37yrs extensive experience, most older hospitals have safety latches that prevent opening fully.
The architects aren’t paying for the building though, so it’s probably not down to them.
There’ll be an accountant somewhere cutting corners.
I hope Dr John is in good health as no vid yesterday or today x
Me too. I’m a bit worried.
@@elkem.8062 Yes, for Doc to go two days straight without an upload seems a bit odd as he's been so regular with the daily updates. Hope all is well with him and his family.
Was thinking the same. Came to the comments to see what's up.
I hope he's ok!!!
Air changes are very very important, as an ex hospital engineer it was one of the most important issues we faced. However the more the air is changed the more it costs to condition the incoming and out going air flow.
Shop and offices are so bad as the more air recycled the cheaper it is. Do not get me going about the Air curtains as you enter buildings :-)
Remember the old TB hospitals, fresh air and more fresh air ?
.... and time out in the sun..... vitamin D!?
I remember that. My own father was in one of those, sitting on a veranda, in the 50s after developing TB. He had been a farm labourer at the time.
Those air curtains. Back in march i tried to tell Sainsburys to turn these off. They are stil on.
@@josefschiltz2192 They used to sit the patients out on the balconies in my city, even in the snow! They were well bundled up though. Come to think of it, when I was a baby everyone put the babies out in their prams for fresh air. (and possibly the vitamin D on sunny days!)
@@BeerElf66 I think the most alarming concept for fresh air and sunshine were the baby hammocks on buildings! I was gobsmacked. My Dad - in 1963 - bundled me up to the point where he said, "Oh, you can't bend this boy!" I felt like a totally rigored slab of swaddling!
Good morning John... keep up the good work... Im taking D daily!! You will have saved lives!
Ooh, Matron...
Hope you're simply having a few days off, Dr. D. Take care of yourself.
probably stunned into silence with the latest hi-jinks of the past couple of days of overflowing spreadsheets and itinerant presidents :(
Getting a bit concerned no videos from Dr Campbell for 2 days. Hope your ok.
Me too 😕
In the schools in Germany we are now going for Every 20 minutes all Windows will be opened for 5 minutes. That’s what Stosslüften means. Instead of opening the window a little all the time, you open them completely for a short time.
The problem is you need a constant stream of air. 20 minutes of stagnant air will increase chance of infection greatly. Really the only viable solution is a ventilation system with air filters. Not gonna happen with our stingy government.
@@seeibe What's the reasoning behind stagnant air being more risky than moving air? - I thought it was all about viral road in the air, regardless of whether it is moving or not. Generally speaking yes, constantly moving air out of the room will lower the viral load in the air - but the rooms are specious with very high ceilings which means after completely airing out the room the viral load will stay low (at the very least under a certain critical threshold) for a while.
@@Anakianaj Just think of someone smoking indoors. Of course ventilating every 20 minutes is better than keeping the windows closed, but it's still going to get pretty bad compared to constantly moving the air.
When I was at school in England we did this too, the only problem, it was 50 years ago!
@@seeibe that's why I said "a certain critical threshold" - assuming the 20mins where not picked at random. "It's going to get pretty bad" yes, after a while it will be too bad - and 20mins doesn't seem to be a long enough while to do so. Similar to the "how much distance should we keep from other people". Best is to not meet any people at all. Next best is to keep as many meters as physically possible. - But the critical threshold is around 1.5 meters if wearing a mask.
Thank you so much for all of your hard work and giving us a fact based balanced view to help us all x
Thank you for your continued updates on COVID, Its incredible I'm getting more information here than from our own government. Please keep up the excellent work!
I am still tuning in every day, watching and listening to the end of each talk, learning a lot, and wishing this channel was on mainstream tv everywhere, dispelling the ignorance and giving everyone the guidance they need. I share these videos on Facebook every day, but am very disappointed at how few people on my friends list actually bother to either watch or share them.
“Stosslüften” means open up all windows for some minutes regularly to exchange the air completely.
Have a nice weekend and stay safe, we need you.🌻
My windows are always open - never ever closed
My wife and I now take "D" thank you Big John.
Me too, we should listen to experts like John :-) and not Matt Hancock :-(
Actually, vitamin D3 seems the most efficient, I use 5% CBD vitamin D3 !

@@barney-rubble8604 I am not anti or pro vaxxer, but I still believe that some vaccines have done good to this world. It should be a personal responsibility, with clear information on side effects for instance. As long as it is voluntary, some vaccines are good. The concern I have (unfortunately already proposed by a MP in the House of Commons this week) is that it could be made mandatory (that's the day I will leave the UK !), this frightens me :-(
Really appreciate the content you bring almost every day. You do make me laugh. Like how diplomatic you are. Funny how you manage to say what most of us are thinking. haha saludos desde Costa Rica This was one of your best! never got bored or stopped watching for a moment.
Good morning Dr Campbell. Hope you're well. Thanks for the consistent uploads and all the effort you put in to keep us laymen scientifically updated. Just what we need at a time like this. ✌🏻& ❤ from Scotland

@@Zara_Brown I understand, but just know there is far more corruption going on than this channel talks about, and is rather quite serious.

Hi there John. It's now Monday. I'm missing my daily John fix. Hope you are well.
Missed you this weekend. Hope all's well.
Thank you for your brilliant video's Dr Campbell. I hope you are well. Take care and stay safe
Are you okay?
2 days missing?
How about hospitals? I haven’t seen an open window in one of those for years.
My local hospital has windows that only open about 4 inches to prevent people falling out(or climbing in). No air conditioning so the south facing wards are far too hot in summer. In winter okay for ventilation but too cold for the bed nearest the window and doesn’t have much effect on the bed furthest away.
Joan Fowke I once worked in an office that was once a ward in a hospital building built not long after Florence Nightingale was alive... the sash windows in the room were designed to make an airflow, one opened at the bottom the other from the top.
Fergus McDuff thanks for your comment. As far as I can see it’s not the old ones it’s the modern ones.
Julie Brooke exactly, just what I mean.
Poor ventilation, lack of sunlight, it is all connected, many hotels you cannot open the bloody windows, or they only open 2 inches. The country has fallen apart, no opening windows on trains or buses and tinted windows blocking the small amounts of UV light which would sterilize surfaces.
You are such a good person with your info finding. And it is so impressive! And John you are such a beautiful soul. I'm glad I found your channel ,Thanks for your hard work, and thanks for your Integrity!!
As slways. Very interesting. Thank you Dr Campbell, so glad you continue the news and uodates.
Happy Saturday John & all
I have purchased for the office and don & doff room these wonderful dysons and it purifies the air ! I’ve also put two in my sons house as I’m just about ready to bring back nurse care for him and I want to make sure before I move out that I’ve put provisions in place and I test them out myself to keep all air purified ! He is at very high risk as he has diseased lungs, scoliosis, spinal cord injury brain injury, also born with a diaphragmatic hernia medium to large & is on a ventilator to support him, I have to say that even though he has been ill for just over a week I’ve still had staff come in of course full PPE & no cross infection has happened thankfully. These machines are fantastic I would recommend anyone getting one I do know they are expensive but staff lives are most important !
Best Wishes to you and your son.
Muire Suilgorm thank you his much better xxx
I think you have done and are doing an amazing job. You are so much better to watch then anything else out there reporting on this pandemic. I have watched you from the start and you are one cool cat. Thank you.
President Trump receives Vitamin D - interesting, isn’t it?
glad to know he is receiving the best of care! Standing back and standing by sir!
He is at Walter Reid Hospital. So he will get the best care possible.
Hopefully as soon as he recovers he will be praising the benefits of vitamin D (though is that a good thing from the President or not ??)
Derreck Jones I mean, he’s attacked a big portion of big pharma by bringing down insulin costs
He not survive it, it's funny that doctors don't think about genetics, if they did they will know that what i say is true, people leaving you money and make you clever.
I'd be interested if you'd take a short look at Northern Ireland. We've had one massive spike over here and the media are crapping themselves that we need a 'circuit breaker' RIGHT NOW without giving our new restrictions time to work (same as the North East)
I hear you John Smith, title should really have been England update. Scottish Test and Protect launched and working brilliantly, whole of Scotland on house visiting ban. All pubs closed at 10pm. Very disappointing really because I have been listening to this guy since February.
My view is that it is only starting to hit NI and rural areas the way it did in the bigger cities at the start
Good data here ua-cam.com/video/8UvFhIFzaac/v-deo.html
Here in RURAL MN,USA we are now getting hit !

Lower rates in Africa: could be due to much wider range of good gut bacteria from less processed food, more exercise and fresh air and less sedentarism and obesity. All these factors are key, I am told.
It is very easy to explain everything with simple virus science yet people are completely blinded by the fact they think this is a new virus and that it's a one time infection.
Thanks Dr Campbell for another fascinating video. I am so glad I stumbled across your videos back in May. Take care.
I only read yesterday about the Neanderthal genes. Very interesting that this particular gene gives risk to covid. You could never bore us John, fascinating stuff! 😊☔🌧xxxxx
It is indeed very fascinating, and whats even more fascinating is that the bigger the Neanderthal gene percentage in a person the easier it is for that person to reproduce. I am sorry I cannot remember the source on this matter.
It is something I've heard about recently though.
It's almost as though the virus is targeting the humanitys reproduction capabilities, wich would make sense since the earth can only support about 3 billion of us, and yet here we are at 7,8 billion still reproducing like crazy slowly turning the entire planet into something akin to a human anthill...
Causing massive havoc killing off entire species of both animal and plantlife, not to mention the extreme pollutions driven by pure human laziness and greed...
There are still quite a few in Norwich.

medium.com/@johnhawks/neanderthals-and-covid-19-beyond-the-hype-c258dc8bc2c9
@Radwyn Althor I was thinking the same....
Stoßlüften means: you open the windows completely, let a real lot of fresh air in and close the windows afterwards. You do this often in the day. This is better than having a window open 2cm all day.
Querlüften = cross ventilation and letting the air all through the room from one window to the other - you are absolutely correct :-)
@R G Cool. ... oh, literally!
It's a bit like flushing the toilet in a way.
Ha ha ha does the unproven virus know to exit the window lol
@R G How long do I leave the window/s open to get a punch without letting all the heat out.

This article explains why humans downplay and deny real live threats

Hi @Skip ads
Being understanding and compassionate of our human death fears are my personal goals, now and after the current novel virus’s unwelcome and seemingly invisible visits. We humans thrive on understanding and compassion, and so do our societies. To help out in my own small heroine way, here is more information to pass on.
Here is a rarely read and studied guidebook by high school graduating students and adults.
brahmakumaris.info/download/Cult%20related/Fallacies.pdf
This guidebook helps us determine the current level of our critical thinking.
Here are several books that explain why we humans cause problems for others and ourself due to biological death anxiety.
fivebooks.com/best-books/fear-of-death-sheldon-solomon/
Below is a link to a short discussion 👇🏽 that briefly explains why we humans unfortunately and apparently need to have a vague inferior to feel superior over, such as making fun of humans that are naturally and predictably reacting to biological death.
We even try to avoid catching cold and flu viruses. Why wouldn’t we try to avoid being infected with new viruses that can cause a terrible death, and long term organ damage that need even more money to treat? Why stress out each other even more by putting humans down for reacting proactively with preventative methods?
ua-cam.com/video/LCJAdFjPcnw/v-deo.html
When we go deeper into understanding the underlying causes of obesity, reckless drivers and drug use, we can ask how death anxiety and death denying is influencing these, and go from there to help each other out, with understanding this serious influence that is subconscious and conscious and is reacted to constructively and destructively. ( Here is some relevant information about obesity: For adrenal body types, for instance - ua-cam.com/video/Pkoai6HCMcg/v-deo.html. Hooray! Fresh air! I hope you feel vindicated John. Every day I open my windows at home to get the air in after following your advice for months. Thanks for all the updates, as ever. I wondered if we could have a NZ update - did they ever find out where the first cases after 100 days came from? Apologies if I’ve missed it on this channel.
Perhaps Hancock confused vitamin D with hydroxychloroquine. Easy mistake for someone who specialised in economics, I suppose.
I actually thought that exact same thing when I saw him say that because as far as I know, there have been no studies proving that it does not help, like he had claimed.
He was deliberately lying for reasons unknown.
He should be sacked.
@M J We need quotas. At least 2/3 of parliamentarians must have a science or engineering education. That would do wonders.
He admitted at a later date he got it wrong they haven’t tested vit d. Which given fact they supposed to have held an enquiry into why so many ethnic minorities been so hard hit is disgraceful
Thank you dr. Campbel. I never miss your videos, best informtion and facts. Best presentation, easy to follow even for us, non-english speakers. All the best!
Stoßlüften (that's our 'sharp S' and the Umlaut Ü) is somewhat engrained into germans. It is mentioned in standard rental contracts for apartments as a subsection. However, freshness of air is just one of the reasons (I think): modern german apartment windows all have a 'tilt' position between open and closed. I guess many other countries have that, too, but Americans tend to be fascinated by them. Just randomly search some "American living in Germany" video on YT where almost certainly they will demonstrate how their "overengineered german windows" work (most of the time right after the 'autobahn experience'). The downside of the windows is that people tend to leave them in the tilt position all day long, which is ineffective heating practice for winter time. Therefor you are reminded about Stoßlüften a lot by parents, teachers and landlords, since 'airing out the room' (Stoßlüften) for 5 minutes or so is much better than closed or half open all the time.
Doc, should you come to germany you do not have to order beer, I will buy you one :)
S Pot
Yes, as I read the comments, I thought to myself, "Most people are never going to be able to say that word." If I had never studied German, I would never have never have known how to say it either. By the way, isn't an "s" before a consonant pronounced "sh?" Is that what you mean by "sharp S?"
@@RCSVirginia the sharp s is the ß. It is pronounced, well, "sharper" like in super in contrast to a soft s such as in "close". When to use which is a bit difficult though and many people struggle with it especially in das/daß

Was concerned yesterday ,as I went to the dentist .all other safety measures, were put in to place . But not one window opened that I noticed .
Recently my 2 year older was in hospital for a minor procedure. The hospital wasn’t as hot as they normally are and they had a big contraption outside that was something to do with ventilating the hospital because of covid. (Shame they had to take up the children’s ward garden for it, but still). When I went for a cup of tea in the parents tea room, the windows were closed. I could open them though so I opened one and left it open! 😉

I read this, too, and find it absolutely fascinating!
I fit Positive Input ventilation systems to ordinary houses for mould destruction and reduction of humidity. These systems work 24/7 pushing fresh filtered air from the loft into the home. I am sure that such a system would help lower the rate of infection within our homes and businesses.

I have lived in Australia and been a gardener all my life, so out in the sun pretty much every day. Surprisingly, when tested for Vit D earlier this year, I had none, apparently a genetic mutation. So even before covid hit, I had started Vit D drops. And despite having obvious Neanderthal markers: red heads on both sides of my family, I have an excellent constitution at age 68 but am taking no chances. Do what makes sense, like Dr John says. Wishing you all well.
Question: do you not think the plateauing is a reflection of reaching the limits of our test capacity rather than a real tail off? Or is your data coming from multiple sources.
Cross-ventilation: now there's an important issue. I'll certainly copy your video link to Facebook. Thank you as always.

🇬🇧 Im 82 and when I was young all hospital windows were opened whether the patients liked it or not, especially the old Victorian ones. They were nuts about fresh air. These days hospitals are too hot and stuffy.
sounds like a good idea , but with winter approaching...
combatdigiq winter has approached since the beginning of time - you wanna control the weather too?
So we can look fwd to windows being left open on both sides on buses. Just have to wrap up warmly. At least my glasses won't steam up from the change in temperature
Where's our John?
Dr Campbell, it doesn't look like the windows are open in your workroom. Is that to shut out noise?
Mostly we keep windows closed to retain heat so our heating bills don't do through the roof and to block out noise especially if we live on main roads. There will be a lot of people who chose to work from home who will be doing so sitting in their coats this winter (been there done that). Being in a nice cosy office is SO much cheaper!
Is 5000iu Vit D too high to take?
Should you also take K2 alongside this? Trying to learn more about this...ans want to help our family get their levels up to help over the winter. Thank you
Maybe Africa simply doesn’t have that many people over 81 years old with comorbidities.

I am sure that, that, too, is one of the factors.
That's exactly hitting the nail on the head. If you look at a map of median age by country, it lines up perfectly with CFR ratios. I was incredibly worried for the 3rd world initially, if the richest countries on earth were doing this bad, how bad will it get in Africa..... And yet, the data is showing the exact opposite. And the answer very much seems to be that the shittier your country, the less old people there are to die, and the less CFR you'll experience.... They will all be able to get back to "regular life" way before the first world can.
@@eugenes9751 High density housing is the brief that current architecture students are working on, even though the data showed from the outset of covid that it's deadly.
Obesity is hugely prevalent in South Africa, & culturally acceptable.

Dr John, my son is at university and he believes that students are now reluctant to get a test as it will mean being locked in there rooms for ten days in appalling conditions. I don’t know if there is a drop off in tests due to this belief! Nottingham area
All the Universities locked down received Gates Foundation Grants .
Hardly appalling conditions.
the kids aint stupid, they know its all bull shit
Anyone would have to be a daft idiot to get a test at this point. By doing so you make yourself liable to brutal regulations and fines of up to £10,000 if it comes back positive. Furthermore the false positive rate makes the testing regime 100% useless as explained by this Pfizer scientific advisor ua-cam.com/video/5bwebLohmN4/v-deo.htmlm49s
That is so depressing and quite predictable. I really feel for students and other young people.
This may seem like a naive question, but I have leukaemia CLL type, having no treatment. I have been taking Vit D for years. Listening to your explanation re T cells, is the Vit D having any beneficial effect, or am I self delusional?
Thank you Dr Campbell for your consistent hard work
He does a good job of copy-pasting from msm.
Didn't this video have a section on Patrick Vallance's investments in GSK? I just scanned along as my friend wanted to watch it. Or have I got the wrong video?
Nope he edited the Vallance GSK info out .I have screenshots of the Vallance info John cut out .
@@rocklover7437 Oh that's disappointing.

"That rhymes, doesn't it?" 😂😂😂
Stoßlüften ("bursty" ventilation) means intermittent although quite frequent wide opening of alls doors and windows for a few minutes (roughly 5 minutes), after which the same doors and windows are closed again. Very common practice in private homes, schools and similar establishments. David from Munich.
Thanks, John. Very interesting and good to see, hopefully. some better news - about the plateauing.
Calling Dr John. Two days no see no hear. Hope everything is well.
Indoor table service of food/drink is risky 24/7.
Is that why they're banning eye contact?
Thank you, Dr. Campbell! Very interesting stuff.
Thanks for the extremely interesting update especially the Vitamin D update and Neanderthal gene effect.
There is an English term for cross ventilation. It's "cross ventilation".
Chriswsm great comment!
made me chuckle!

The Neanderthal link was definitely interesting. I do want to speak up for many African countries. One reason that these countries have lower rates is that many countries there took the virus seriously, and they had pandemic plans in place because of Ebola. Because they had plans in place, they were easily able to respond to this virus. Many countries were also quite aggressive in their reactions, and closed things down early. These measures, and maybe those that you mentioned, have allowed their numbers to stay low. There is much that the rest of the world could learn from how the continent of Africa handled this outbreak.
Ebola was practice and a warning...it's got an wet an many animals , they live with it more , they know
Many African countries did very little testing and they dont have the finances or resources to do lockdown for a long period, check the figures for testing for each African country , secondly the virus is very contagious but its got a low mortality rate.
@@injoyinmyself2018 The fact that its got a low mortality rate and can be asymptomatic is what makes it infectious
Ekkinaj, very true I believe. The rules in most of Africa, as well as the adherence thereto, was doen in a well-organised manner.
That's not what I've been hearing from African correspondents on the BBC World Service. It's true that endemic infections like Ebola but more so HIV mean a certain amount of prior experience and practice is in place, but the low rates are probably due more to a generally young population, Vitamin D and genetic makeup. Things like a ban on alcohol sales have been a disaster, 'lost' PPE and the usual levels of corruption haven't helped.
I held a variety of office jobs in New York State over about thirty years. I can't remember any of them allowing us to open windows. I assume their concern was the cost of heating or air conditioning. Very short sighted, when you consider the cost of worker sick days and health care! I studied anthropology in college, so your discussion of Neanderthal genes was very interesting! Disappointing though, as I somehow always thought that component of our genetics conferred some advantage... Always a delight to listen to you, doctor!
Thank you for your ongoing service in bringing Covid-19 information to us all.
I'm sure you have answered this question before, but what amount of vitamin D would you recommend for the average adult? Also, is D3 in pill form adequate?
