They're so used to performing high intensity vocals and choreographies for 3-4 hours, so this is just some of relax vocal flexing 😁 I hope you react more to their live performances, especially the Japanese concerts, I recommend two: Purple Line at Nissan Stadium (2017) ua-cam.com/video/gj6BQrmLrX0/v-deo.htmlsi=5aD5OF631_H8LxBK Bolero (2023) ua-cam.com/video/Y4ohqU1CSoA/v-deo.htmlsi=75Wr1y_GgpXXRnAP
Thanks for your reaction. The amount of time I watched their killing voice is unhealthy, and my pause time to look at Yunho is even more unhealthy. In conclusion they're not good for my health😂😂
They are both incredible singers, though it makes me kind of sad Yunho isn't always recognized for how good he is due to like how you said higher tones are often considered "better" in kpop. Don't get me wrong I love a good higher voice (one of my fav artists outside of kpop is a Japanese band called Spitz, the singer has some high tone such that their songsare easier to sing for women) but it's not everything there is about singing. Yunho said in the past he wasn't born with any special talent for singing or dancing and just worked his ass off to get where he is. I really respect him for how passionate and hard working he is. If you have some time one day I'd recommend Highlight (they used to be called BEAST, maybe you've listened to some of their songs), they are my top group together with TVXQ! Their main vocal Yoseob is also a powerhouse.
@@Killdeer25 I think it's because it's more "quantifiable", how high of a note x singer can hit compared to another singer. And higher tones in men is also rarer (though kind of over represented in kpop imo). Good singing isn't only about how high someone goes but it gets hard to compare subjectively particularly for people who aren't well versed in vocal techniques.
@@aligensa it is true Asian voices tend to be a bit higher in general! I guess I just dislike how kpop fans in any country - Korea included, put so much emphasis on it (regardless of if the singer has a higher tone in the first place). Often the "best moments of xx" compilations are just them hitting high notes in different songs. I'm always impressed how Changmin goes so high and kills it every time even listening to songs for the millionth time, but it is far from the only thing I would talk about when saying he is an excellent singer. His sense in adding texture to his voice, how much style versatility he has, how he picks between using a falsetto or a head voice depending on the song, how expressive he is, those are all things that make him exceptional at what he does. But it isn't something easily quantifiable so a lot of those who don't know TVXQ super well may see him as "the guy who can sing really high" because that's the only thing that counts for many people. And I dislike how kpop is such a competition as well! I already disliked it during 2nd gen but it has only gotten worse and worse over time 😔
This comeback is so satisfying. I loved my first EXO and Shinee comebacks so much but it's not like you have to go searching for people talking about EXO and Shinee in the kpop youtube world. Everyone was waiting to jump on those comebacks. Now, maybe it's the algorithm, but my feed has been blowing up with dozens and dozens of people for whom this comeback is their first time hearing TVXQ and everyone is losing their minds over how good they are and can't believe it's not a new group but a 20 yrs strong group. Maybe all the hype will die down in a few weeks but I am so proud of them for absolutely slaying everyone and not just having a nice quiet little comeback where people kindly pat them on the back and say way to go, 20 yrs, good for you. They are still HERE!!!! Funny note, you paused at the beginning to mention how it's just the two but they sound so big, I was watching a reaction to Rebel and the reactor had never heard of them before. He was at the final scene of Rebel when it dawned on him it was just two members, then he was scrolling through the video trying to find more singers and he's like WTF?! they are all just backup dancers?! 🤯😂
haha! yeah, I think its probably because a bunch of OG Kpop heads are going wild and the newer people like that reactor had no idea what they were going to be stumbling upon haha! they do sound huge though, like I would have never guessed it was just a duo!
@@Killdeer25 I know right! I am pretty sure one of the songs on the Killing Voice was originally all 5 members plus Super Junior and yet the two of them sang it like no big deal.
@@kristenblack6026a lot of the songs on Killing Voice were originally for when they were 5. But both of them did so well covering all those lines and vocal range.. They admitted to having to work even harder and more persistently to improve the coverage of their singing abilities. And that's one of the things I admired the most about them..
@@OliviaLuisaLim Yes I admire them so much for continually training and improving/taking care of their voices. They sound as good or better than ever where some singers, especially a high note singer like Max might have wrecked his voice after 20 yrs.
Imagine their concert will be 2-3 hours singing and dancing with great stage presence. That’s why they can have over 30 tokyo dome concerts. Even last year they has about 500000 people attended their concerts tour.
I know everyone on about their brilliance but I'm going to be that one............ Yunho's smile...........enough said.............(their brilliance goes without saying!!!)
I think incthe original Mirotic is Jaejoong and Xia singing the high notes with the exception of Changmin's C5. Xia Junsu is an impressive spinger. But I love this version too. Tvxq is one of the best groups ever.
Junsu's Killing Voice is also a testament to his talent. I miss the 5 of them together, but individually as artists, they still shine brightly and will always be proud of them..
They are just so impressive. No matter who your favourites are, there is always room for the talent that is TVXQ. That was freakishly good 😎 On a personal note, my favourite Killing Voice is Zico. It's more of a rap one, but it's brilliant.
@@Killdeer25 Zico is one of the top rapper/producers in Korea. He was (is) the leader of the boy group Block B. He wrote and produced most of their music. These days he has his own label KOZ which is a HYBE subsidiary.
