This tank is massive and absolutely beautiful! Having tank that is less than 10gal/shell length inch is a very common mistake and your turtles are lucky to have tons of room to swim and tons of privacy areas to explore. Some suggestions I can provide as a turtle owner (can also find this on r/turtle) 1. Eventually each turtle needs their own tank. As babies, it is ok for them to be in the same tank, but they will get aggressive before fully reaching maturity. Pay attention to neck biting as a clear sign that it is time to separate them. 2. Again with the territorial behavior, it would be better to give each turtle its own basking area and lamp. Even as babies, one of them will start bullying others for the prime basking area. 3. The lamp you had was a single dome so I’m not sure if your bulb is just a heat bulb or a heat/uvb bulb. But turtles also need uvb and people have found that combination bulbs are not reliable at providing uvb. So it would be better to have a dual bulb lamp and have a dedicated uvb bulb to prevent arthritis in your turtles. 4. I saw some suggestions for a pump, but I did see some bubbling in one of your frames so it looks like you have one. Just make sure the pump is 5-10x the volume of your tank. This is another common mistake. So if your tank is 200 gal, you want a pump that can at least pump 1000gal/h. You might have to have multiple pumps in order fulfill that flowrate. Hope this helps! It looks like you spare no expense for your pets so I know you will be great turtle dad!
I was about to make my own comment but you beat me to it. I still want to add to the basking platform though. I lost one turtle cause she got too exhausted and got stuck under the floating platform, but when I switched to one that the turtles couldn’t even get under, all was fine with the others. I used a few bricks and made a very small angled slope with resin to fill the gap, and the turtles were able to get up to bask just fine without getting stuck under it
Hey man, turtle guy here. Nice tank man really great size, most people unfortunately keep them in tanks way too small for them. But a few pointers. Its actually not healthy for them to eat too many goldfish or minnows due to an enzyme they carry. Guppies and swordtails are a healthier livefood. Next careful with the gravel cause if it can fit there mouth you risk them choking or swallowing it so I suggest play sand, which you can get a 10-20 pound bag from home depot for like $5 you just have to clean it well, or large river stones. Lastly turtles can get very territorial so if you are planning on getting more turtles they're probably gonna need their own tank rather than living all together in one. Favorite species are Red Eared sliders and Diamondback Terapins tho. Great tank and start again tho. I know you're gonna spoil them and I can't wait to see updates.
@ohioan109 that's what you got from that? Lol dude jumped in to save his duck from a gator and you think he doesn't give a shit about animals? I'd like to see you jumping in after a gator 😅

A big suggestion is a filter, which can really help if you don’t already have one and definitely some live plants and like you can do a feeding system that does an hourly like you can time whenever you want to be done would really be good for our turtles
To anyone who has or is thinking of getting turtles (including Tony)!! You're gonna need a non-moving land space about 25% of the tank area (like a platform they can swim under with ramp) with a uv bulb (replaced every year) and heat lamp above it, and a feed bowl for foods (including veggies) dusted with calcium and vitamins, otherwise they can get some really bad deformities. A good rule i like to follow is even if you think you know everything you need to about your animals, do lots of googling and forum-searching before getting, and every couple months do another google to see if there's anything you could do to make their life any better. That helps avoid any mistakes, and leads to peace of mind and happy animals😊 E.g. tank size requirements for 3 adult _species_ turtles, _species_ turtle diet, treats, how often to feed, adult size, etc. Whatever pops in your mind, or scroll random forums if you can't think of anything
This, and please, please, please cycle any tank that will house semi/aquatic life. The part that gets left out, and people end up with nasty tanks or dead animals, is it can take up to 8 weeks to properly cycle a tank and make it habitable. Please, don't let 30-second clips from a doucher make you think caring for a long living animal is so easy.
This is a great size tho especially for 4 of em, he probably will have to get new land area those floating ones that sticks to the side cant take the weight of fullgrown turtles especially females
I would recommend more space on Land and a lamp which immitates the sun. Those Arent that expensive, maybe 120$ :) so nice of you, how good you treat animals, i love it
Solid advice straight from my elementary school turtle tank. We fed them in big clear plastic tubs. We never found any fish or critter that would cleanup after turtles fast enough where I'm from.
He still is missing a good amount of stuff, first off goldfish are dangerous to turtles when they eat them because they have a certain thing in them that can cause harm. Then he has his basking light too far from the basking dock so it’s not gonna get the 95 degrees that it should for the turtles
Too many people get reptiles (or other animals) without realizing how much work and care actually goes into making sure their lifestyle in captivity matches what they would've had in the wild. Tony did a great job on the tank!
@@PausitiveVibeshow does it match it’s a bunch of fake stuff 0 real plants no background and no land portions and there’s no heat lamp for the turtles to sunbathe in and a heat lamp is very important to keep your turtles healthy

I keep fish tanks and dont really know much about keeping turtles, but in fish keeping its recommended to get live plants and if you do get fake decor make sure its soft
@@Theknight822 You need to try plants that grow easily and quickly. And it is recommended to use smoother and simpler decorations so that turtles do not damage their shells on them
Doesn’t matter for these types of fish nor the turtles. That’s recommended for fish like Bettas, not fish like what’s currently in the tank (looks like feeder gold fish and glow fish) the plastic isn’t going to be strong enough to hurt their shells.
@@toxathedog3873that just makes the tanks really messy. Turtles don’t just eat the plants but they move them around. They’ll throw the plants all over the place and it’ll end up stuck to your filter intake. Fake plants are fine for turtles. Just give them lots of space, clean water, and a good diet, and they’ll nearly outlive you
Loving this sh*t So happy I subscribed, your videos bring a smile to this lonely lady’s face every time I watch one. Much love 💕 to you my blessed friend.👍🏼
Tony love what you’re doing with the turtles I’ve got a couple of suggestions though, you should try to make it as naturalistic as possible for them and add a larger land area and maybe add some larger native species of fish to show the biodiversity of your tank 👍
Great looking tank! But I couldn't see if you have any UVB bulbs for them. If not, they definitely need one to help enable the synthesis of vitamin D and other things that are super important for their growth to prevent MBD. I'd get one that goes across the whole tank or most of it.
Ya, for someone starting with turtles it’s a good start. They need (or at least will shortly) a bigger basking area. I think gravel is not great for turtles, they just foul their tank too quickly for it (along with things like fake plants) and keeping the gravel clean will be more trouble than it’s worth. Most turtle people keep their tank bottoms bare due to that. Goldfish also aren’t a great food source for turtles (B vitamin issues) so if he wants to feed live foods insects or guppies are a better option.
If he spent all that on natural decor and live plants with a better basking area it would be 100% better. good size tank though! but the rainbow barf gravel is a new go imo.@@mirandag.3277

Also I love how you did an elaborate setup for very common turtles, you're putting people to shame! Many species need different types of cages or temperatures so please keep that in mind. My side job is reptiles in general, monitor lizards and snakes (dozens of species) if you ever need more specific info hit me up. Check out Fox Reptiles if you are ever in Ohio and need a cool video with an insanely rare pretty ass monitor lizard or something. --Steve

Well u eat chemical gas in fast food
@@grimreaper-lando7930yeah and we are going to die, whats your point
@@grimreaper-lando7930we are not turtles💀💀 didnt think id have to comment that in 2023 😅
Yellow box turtles are super cute 💯
I just want to see the behind the scenes videos of Toni scrolling through Amazon picking out the perfect pieces for his babies. Also these damn turtles are so lucky lol
I keep fish tanks and dont really know much about keeping turtles, but in fish keeping its recommended to get live plants and if you do get fake decor make sure its soft
But turtles like to destroy and eat live plants
Just give them lots of space, clean water, and a good diet, and they’ll nearly outlive you
@toxathedog3873 in the wild turtle shells take on rocks and crocks bro
Tony is the definition of Top G
Not being mean but I like how he's so tough and manly and then animals he's so friendly
Loving this sh*t
So happy I subscribed, your videos bring a smile to this lonely lady’s face every time I watch one. Much love 💕 to you my blessed friend.👍🏼
Don't forget the anacharis. Turtles need their greens too. 🐢💨
Tony love what you’re doing with the turtles I’ve got a couple of suggestions though, you should try to make it as naturalistic as possible for them and add a larger land area and maybe add some larger native species of fish to show the biodiversity of your tank 👍
I love how baby girl is everywhere you are 😂
Great looking tank! But I couldn't see if you have any UVB bulbs for them. If not, they definitely need one to help enable the synthesis of vitamin D and other things that are super important for their growth to prevent MBD. I'd get one that goes across the whole tank or most of it.
UA-cam is paying off. Good work
It’s OF that getting him his money
Baby Girl just casually on the damn shelf😂
i like red belly turtle also loved the fish yell
I love how he actually cares for his pets! Other social media stars should take note.
@@gamingwhilebroken2355you really think anyone will read all your bs? 🐑🤣🤡
hes caging them oooh he cares soo much
i mean their basking area isnt near big enough, there’s no real plants inside their tank, just full of fake, bright decor. but sure he cares a lot lol
If he spent all that on natural decor and live plants with a better basking area it would be 100% better. good size tank though! but the rainbow barf gravel is a new go imo.@@mirandag.3277
I was really depressed, and then I watched this video. You made me laugh, thank you!
I agree, they are worth ever penny you put out to make them happy❤❤❤❤ they are beautiful ❤❤❤❤
You did this the day before my birthday last year ❤❤❤❤❤
Your the best love the tank❤ love how you love your family.love your bong..❤😂
Im so happy about how you care for your animala. ❤
So glad to see a good turtle daddy 🥰 we have two and their tank needs to be huge so they don’t rip each others heads off lol you’re doing good 👍✌️
Box turtles I love and new subscriber added!
More wholesomeness from Tony.
“These turtles happiness is everything” ❤
I'm glad he's not buying things just to break, but instead, giving animals nice homes.
Painted turtle, it’s my personal favorite and I love their colors, I have one myself
My family loves southern painted turtles they stay pretty small especially the boys. We finally got some after wanting them for like 5-10 years or something there super cute
I love your emotional support duck
Lmao...oh my gosh! I just glanced at your comment and for some reason I thought it read "...emotional support di@k" I was thinking I could definitely use one of those😂
great setup! they do need a UVB light for basking though, or else their shells will rot
I just love the leatherback turtles. Had one when I was younger named Dudley.
U need a bigger dock, the turtles spend like 95% of their time laying on a dock and there’s nowhere near enough room for both of them
I had a couple baby turtles I found in my apartment hallway, when I was in college. Set up a tank just like this for them, called em Turtle Dee and Turtle Dum 😅
Released em into the pond on campus when I graduated.
Have you ever asked if you could check on them?
You are HYSTERICAL! BUT LOVE IT! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. Do those turtles have names as well???
You have a heart of gold
Should definitely get some of them frog mouth turtles I keep hearing about
Im interested in seeing alligator snapping turtles, they’re pretty tough but they are cool.
I like how baby girl sat on the shelf patiently waiting for too turnt to turn up fully
I love spiny soft shell turtles!!
"donut? Nooo it's not real" 😂
I always wanted a turtle😂
Future reference, don't use goldfish as feeders, they can be toxic to reptiles if they eat too much. Use any other fish and you're chillin
No

Whoa. Tony put his dad into early retirement, I think there's love there that can't be compared 🤠
Not to mention, he bought his mom her dream car, oh, and bought his sister a house!
Proper advice: if bitten by an alligator DO NOT MOVE THE LIMB THATS BITTEN! No matter the temptation, it will leave a bigger gash. Assuming the alligator doesn’t thrash around while your bit you may not even need stitches.
