*Great unit that’s easy to install and use. It’s relatively quiet compared to window units and **Fastly.Cool** , and it cools down our whole living room, side room and bathroom; which is a large space for any unit to cool.*
I was aggravated with trying to mount the motor to the base on the ceiling until I saw your video. Thanks for noting the issue with those senseless screws! You saved my family a meltdown.
If it wasn't for your instructions with the center hardware I would have taken this item back. I purchased the 52 inch model, also the instructions didn't even talk about removing hardware on fan motor to install blades to it. Also one of the globes has a line of silver paint on it which i will be asking hampton bay for replacement globe. Unit is working fine, is quiet to run and looks fine, but what a PITA,
I have this in nickel on order. Thanks for posting on HD review and a link to this video. You may have saved me hours of frustration the day befor Thanksgiving when its due here and to go up.
How did you eventually get the motor attached to the bracket? I think it's physically impossible to do with the bracket screwed in tight against the ceiling. The only way it seems like I van get it up is if the bracket is unscrewed enough to where it moves. I'm contemplating just getting a really short down rod, and installing it like that.
You always install AccuArm blade arms to the post so it doesn't make any scratches then attach the blades to the QuickFit Blade Arms, that will make the installation faster.
That's exactly what I thought, and what I went to do. But the instructions said to do it in that order, so I thought, maybe there's some reason... But yeah, what you're saying makes a lot more sense.
There was no space to mount the unit to the mounting bracket for the close to ceiling so I switched to down rod. I got confused about screws for reattaching downrod and there was no picture to show how to do it -- took way more than one hour. I have installed 11 fans through my house; this was the only one with light bulbs for a craft room but this was way too complex because of the instructions leaving out steps.
I'm in the middle of installing and can't get all the wires tucked in from ceiling in motor mount. How do you get them all in there? won't snap in with all those wires in there. help!
Sorry for the delay. I know what you mean. I cut like 20 minutes out of the video of me fighting those wires. It CAN be done, but you just have to keep tucking them in and pushing that plate on. Once you get one screw to grab, you can force the other side up.

I was so happy to see you struggle with tucking all those damn wires, I found it nearly impossible!
Every fan you can buy, every brand... Always feels like the wires are never going to fit and you're just forcing them!

Glad it helped!!!
Huge help! I had the same issue with the set screws on the flush mount! Glad it wasn't just me.
Thinks

Thank his I found this my husband thanks you and I thank you !!
Can be one of good fans to get if you can't afford better fans and need to buy fans brand new.

"Please don't blow up"
What I say every time I cook with the stove.
Cool fan.

It looks like a modified version of the Landmark III Plus!

Entertaining...😄
Did you buy that fan at home depot
Yes
Is it still their today
Yes. No issues.
Thanks
My 52 inch one won’t spin I flipped the the button but won’t spin
Is this fan still at home depot?
Yes
Thanks.
it's not called a pole it's called a down rod
It doesn’t matter
All of a sudden it's mounted on the ceiling. What's the point of an "instructional" youtube video to show if you don't show.
That's why the title is "Review and Some Installation." Not "Instructional" video.
