Do we get to hear the Sunflower song again? Lol!
Here you go:
🎶🌻 Sunflower, sunflower! 🎶🌻
😅😎✌🏼
@@gus473 hahaha! Love it! Thank you!🤣🌻
Oh no! Now it’s stuck in my head 😂😂
@@CrankyAuntyLinda sorry, couldn't resist!🤣🌻
I was waiting for it too!
You know you’re an STJ fan when you see the word “Sunflower” and immediately think of *that song*. This was a really great series, I really love seeing the different ferries and routes. I can’t wait to see where you go next :)
Hahaaaa I cringed a bit , thinking “here it comes, that damn song” but thank goodness we were spared 😂😂😂😂😅😅
😂😂😂Absolutely❤ SUNFLOWAAAAAAH 😅😅😅😅
Anyone else see it was Sunflower and went 'Oh dear', expecting *that* tune? :-)
I will never see Solo Traveler go on a Sunflower ferry without thinking of that tune!
$759 for a week-long trip seems like a great deal, especially considering a 7 night cruise would cost many thousands of dollars. Might not be a straight comparison, but it's 100% something I'd love to try some day.
Same here.
7 night cruises don't cost "thousands" of dollars you can easily book one for $800
That is a useful comparison. I have found that many Caribbean cruises are cheaper than that, while adding much more value: e.g., much bigger and better accommodation even in the cheapest category of cabin (Inside Cabin), entertainment, all food and drink included at no extra cost (both buffets on the Lido Deck and fine dining in the main dining rooms), complimentary room-service, housekeeping services twice a day, et cetera. The larger cruise-ships are also much more comfortable in the ocean, whilst this smaller kind of ferry-boat felt a lot of motion.
It's barely £100 per night. It's EXCELLENT value.
I know right!!! My rent even costs more than that! And it doesn't even move! LOL
I love when the weather isn't good, when it's storming. Thunder lightening, and very dark clouds. It's cozy.
To add to my earlier comment: STJ, you should make a business offering trip planning assistance! I would LOVE to do a trip around Japan, taking various ferries and trains and busses, and visiting out-of-way gems. As someone who does not speak Japanese, being able to pay for guidance and support with planning a trip like that would be money well spent!
I really enjoyed this series, and for a week-long trip, $759 does not seem like a bad deal at all. The series did get me thinking that an entrepreneur could put together something along these lines as a tour package of Japan. Basically, a tour group would come aboard and exit the ferries via tour bus. When the ship reaches a port of call, the bus would take the tour group around to see the sites, and at the end of the day take them to the next ferry (or to their hotel for the night, whichever is applicable). Accommodations (ferry or hotel) would have been pre-arranged as part of the tour package, and meals at the ferry's restaurants prepaid (vending machines and store purchases would be the responsibility of individual tour members). I think there would be a market for that.
All your episodes were great. In the restaurant, I can hear people in the background. It was nice. It's nice to have both solitude at times and company at times. Thank you for making these episodes.
I slowly learning about Japanese adventures. Thank you!
I'm kinda sad that this is the last installment. But what a great adventure it was! Thank you for taking us with you STJ!
For about $800 US dollars for a 7 day ferry trip, that's a deal I can easily live with. If you compare it to a similar one here in the states, it would be in the thousands. Thoroughly enjoyed this series and almost cringed at this last ferry when you said the name was Sunflower. I have a feeling that name will forever be etched in my head with a horrible jingle.
I was fearing the jingle too
Ditto 🌻🎶
Yup, me too 😂
To music..... "Sunflower!, Sunflower!"
@@1RedHyena Go away, PLEASE!
What makes me feel better during bad weather, a good book and listening to rain, cuddle with a blanket. Inari is me when I'm cold, LOL. I feel sorry for the people who have to work in that weather. Cold and wet. I did enjoy all the episodes. Thanks for putting in the prices for food, hotel, etc and then showing the total.
The food would be expensive for me, I eat a limited American diet, from what I've seen, I skipped past things I wouldn't eat, the breakfast on this leg looked the most compatible, although I don't like runny or raw eggs, crack that yolk as soon as it hits the pan.
I stayed in an inside cabin on a cruise ship, it had a curtain and behind it was a painted window with a tropical scene view,
it made us laugh. I enjoy your videos.
Thank you for taking me on a vacation through my screen, cheers 🖤
Soon as I saw the Sunflower ship that song started playing in my head!! I thought oh no not again!!
Since I'm an old lady I'm sure my traveling days are over and I am so sorry I never got to your country. So, thank you for showing me the sights and foods, and modes of travel. Safe travels and love from North Carolina, USA
people still travel in their 70s
@@antonyzhou6602 $$$$$ and alone
What makes me feel better when the weather is bad? A nice hot bath and then nice hot tea after :)
I would do this trip, with several days at each disembarking location in between ferry trips. I feel like you could have a really great 3-4 week trip with this route.
That $759 was well spent. Your 7-day ferry travel experience was so enjoyable.
"I'm 70% satisfied" I thought Solo would come back with curry rice 🍛
What a spectacular series circumnavigating your wonderful nation. Very reasonable cost wise. I'm a bit more on the adventurous side ( and solo ) and I'd rather experience a 7 day trip like this than a cruise. Though if I were to do this I might stretch it to 10 days. I really hope to do so in the future. Must feel good to get home and sleep in your own bed after a trip this length. Thanks again.
Thanks!
Thanks for the super thanks!
😂😂😂😂 The spaghetti is also frightened. Keep it up. Funny videos.
The loop around Japan by ferry was a great idea. Thanks for taking us along.
Dear STJ,
I want you to know how much I admire and appreciate your videos, and your creative sense of humor in the captions.
I always look forward to your videos, they bring me such joy! :)
-Peter😇
This was a very enjoyable multi part segment you did. I also really enjoyed seeing how happy the food was that you were going to eat it in this episode. The Inari was most happy and excited you chose it.
You're so funny 😄 "the inari looks frightened!"
Thanks for nice journey. I love your humor and your love for eating. By the way, my dog wakes up when he hears the bling at the beginning of the video. He knows that now is extra food time. 😂😂😂
Sunflower 🌻 It was a lovely journey, I enjoyed all the videos.
Thank you for taking us on this vacation with you, now enjoy your time at home! 次の旅行まで、ソロさん
Fantastic
Excellent 👌
Wow, what a trip...have loved every minute of this trip and the total cost is an absolute steal. Wishing we could visit Japan and replicate some of your ferry trips, maybe one day. ♡
8:04 maybe i'm still just a grade-school boy at heart, but that item on the bottom-left of your dish, inari, jiggling like that. had me laughing :) it's probably time for bed.
STJ is great.
Thanks for bringing us along on your trip.

and the crowd goes wild
Thank you sir. I hope you’re not planning on stopping these videos. They’re great and your dry sense of humour really comes through. Thank you and I hope there’ll be many more.
Thank you, I enjoyed all your videos. It's a bit like travelling. I love to see the land, the ferry's, the sea and the food. Thank you
Very nice. 👍🏻
Thank you for completing the journey and summarising the costs. I am sad that the cabin was not particularly good and that the food was not as satisfying. Hopefully your next travels will be more enjoyable for you!
I enjoyed all of your episodes. Thank you very much for sharing. Happy travelling!
"What makes you feel better when the weather is bad?
Eating"
😆😍😍😁😁😁
Thanks for sharing your journey with us!! 💖💖💖
This was an excellent series. Thank you very much!!
and we got sunflower at the end :)
'Bad weather, can't be helped.' I don't know Solo, it's been a while since you tried to see if you had magical powers, it did stop raining hard when you asked.
Awesome trip, thanks for sharing. Seven days under $800, plus we got the bonus of content for two channels. Win-win.
Thank you for sharing this 7 day journey. It was great to have it spread over 4 episodes. Definitely a more affordable option to go away for a week, experience all those places including travel and accommodation. The cabin on the last ship was definitely cramped, imagine sharing it with 3 people. But overall a fantastic experience.
Amazing I loved to watch all 4 episodes
I want to go to Japan just to do this same trip! Great videos, STJ! I thoroughly enjoyed these!
Thank you for your videos. I enjoyed your vacation. Hope you had a great time on your travels!
I have 404 UA-cam subscriptions, but there is only one I can watch from start to finish regardless of length and that is this channel.
Beautiful Country, beautiful people, and it's so clean.
People in my Country are slobs and litterbugs.
Sorry about Shinzo Abe 😥
He was a great friend to the United States and seemed a genuinely nice guy and great leader
Thanks for giving us a glimpse into Japanese ferry-services and local cruises. I often felt that the places were deserted and wondered where everyone else was. [smile] Most of the times, you seemed to have the whole ship to yourself. I was also curious to know how much time you effectively have ashore? You did not seem to do any real excursions or on-board activities (apart from once going to the Fitness Centre and once going to the men's bath).
I've truly enjoyed this 7 day ferry excursion series. Thank you. I needed that😊
I always wish for more whenever your video ends! What an amazing treat, always! Cheers!
A fabulous trip and at what appears to be a very good price. Thanks for sharing and yet again I had to get something to eat as you were showing off your delightful food!
Room looks cozy like a 80s camper-mobile ^^
I love watching these. The chances of a Uk ferry giving you even, a toothbrush, are farcical.
Thank you kindly for sharing all 4 episodes, I really enjoyed them all and “it’s food for thought” as we say here in England.
Excellent video series. I bet a lot of your subscribers will consider this as part of their vacation. Quite economical, really.
Good way to cover the costs of these trips. I appreciate your work to being accurate and informative
oh no the song was going through my head! A nice series, thank you.
Interesting, educational, good humoured and honest. These are the ingredients that make your videos so enjoyable. This was a nice 'mini series' and like most other commenters here I was surprised at how relatively inexpensive it turned out to be. Thanks for taking us with you on your travels STJ.
Thank you so much for your videos it’s very useful and helpful for future visits
I did enjoy all 4 episodes! ☺️❤️ I hope to see more mini series contents like this!
Thank you for your travel and food tour videos. I miss Japan. Luckily I was able to go to Tokyo in December 2019, right before the pandemic. Hope to visit again in 2023. Arigato gozaimasu !
I think it will be a while before they are running again, but it would be interesting to compare the cost of traveling around Japan on ferries to the cost of spending 7 days on a cruise ship. I know several of the western cruise lines (Princess, Norwegian, Holland America and Celebrity for example) do Japanese cruises, which usually also have a stop in Korea or Taiwan depending on the itinerary. I'm guessing there are Asian cruise lines as well but don't know much about those.
Ferries HAVE to be much cheaper, because they have two categories of clients that are price aware - the locals whose only way out of their islands is the ferry and the truckers (plus car owners that really choose the ferry as an alternative to the long hauls). And recently the low and medium cost travelers.
That was a great adventure and very affordable thanks for the fun!
what an enjoyable series, thanks for the vids. and i see Oarai city still in love with Girls und Panzer xD
Wonderful trip
Very informative and enjoyable series. The Hokkaido steak dinner looked incredible. I'm in the United States (Florida) but tomorrow I am cooking up some beef, ramen and rice.
congratulations on a wonderful journey, a wonderful budget, and a wonderful compilation!
👍🏼Thank you, STJ, as I did enjoy the entire journey (and the feasts along the way)! Until your next adventure! ⛩️🗾🎌😎✌🏼
I’ve been waiting for the next episode of our trip. Excited!!!!
Now the food looks so good it makes me hungry .
I love that big round window
Glad to watch this last video. Cant wait for what you do next.
Thank you for ending my weekend on a great note...
another peaceful japanese video - i really enjoyed watching this! cant wait to go back to japan! sending love from your friends in Ireland 🇮🇪
Nice trip! Love this serie, go again soon please ☺️☺️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ferry rides all around most of Japan?!?! OMG totally on my bucket list now. Thank you soooo much for this. I felt like I was almost there. Thank you thank you.
At least half my plate in the meal at 8:30 would have been that lovely inarizushi. Can't get enough of it!
All in all not to expensive. Thank you for sharing your adventure. I'd love to do something like this!
Thanks it was an interesting journey with you love the calm relaxed style of your videos keep it going 🇦🇺
So STJ, you invented a new type of food. Frightened Inari, if I where you. I'd make sure to patend it, that way you will get more money for your travels. Imagen all the beef curry you could have 😸
Thank you for your videos. I live in landlocked country so seeing ferries and this kind of transportation is very interesting to me as I have never experienced it.
Fantastic journey thank you for having us along.
8:05 - The jiggling of your food was comical! 😀
Thank you for the beautiful films !
We are looking forward for more 🙏😁🍀👋
How relaxing 🙂
Hi, I'm a new to your channel & am fixated on your great video's 🙂 Am watching them all! Have to say this 7-Day Ferry Epic is just excellent. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing journey with useful real life information, and stunning scenery. I am in the UK & seeing your views from Japan is wonderful. Thank you & enjoy your future travels, I look forward to watching.
Thanks for doing this series! I enjoyed tuning in to them every week before going to bed. Also didnt expect to see the Girls Und Panzer promotional materials at Oarai Station!
I JUST LOVE HOW YOU ALWAYS CRACKS ME UP LOL
Thank you-I had a wonderful time!
Excellent episodes, I enjoyed every one of them. Thank you for making these fun videos.
I loved this little mini series. It was so much fun to watch. Thank you for taking us with you!! Now, I’m off to watch today’s video!
I love a nice rainy day just as much as a sunny one though
Really enjoyable! Thank you for this lovely trip. Beautiful ferries and relaxing. You really like to eat!
Looks fun, but it also seems like it may have been a bit exhausting.
Thank you for sharing.
Ahhh so so enjoyable 🛳👌🏻🥰 thank you so much ☺️
Breakfast looks beige too, I'm surprised. Japanese food is usually so tasty and beautiful.
