Ah-yes! So up lifting! Having lost our Queen here in the UK and therefor feeling so down and solemn; the only way to be uplifted again, is to watch and listen to; the Queen of the piano … Sally Christian Magical ... Warm hugs! William (Hampshire UK)
Hello MrDaytrack / William, thank you for your lovely words! It is indeed a time of reflection with the passing of England's great and beloved Queen Elizabeth. She was a constant and reassuring world presence throughout her 70-year reign, and we mourn her passing. 🙏 Thank you for letting me know the videos are uplifted your spirits! 💕 With warm thoughts and all best wishes and blessings to you.
Hello David, thank you so much for your warm and enthusiastic words! I'm really glad to know that you liked the presentation and analysis, and will be using some of these suggestions! Best wishes to you and with your playing.
Hello Arup, thank you for your very nice words about the lesson and the playing. :-) I appreciate hearing that you liked the detailed explanations for this beloved "Minute Waltz." All best wishes to you.
It's such a fun piece to play, I can just imagine a little dog running around in circles chasing it's tail! Such a beautiful piece, no wonder why it's so famous
I pretended to be a professional classical pianist. I even study composition. I stopped playing, I don't know, 20 years ago...and I'm always trying to reconnect with the instrument somehow. I studied this one with my teacher and compleating memorization. This was a great and clear explanation about phrases, bass lines and subtle and important details. Thank you.
Thank you for your very kind words about the lesson! I'm glad you liked the explanations about the phrases, bass lines, and other details. Best wishes to you and with your playing. 🎵
Hello Peter, thank you for your interesting comment! I agree with you that the octave grace notes could replicate single little barks! It is humorous, isn't it! Best wishes to you. 🎵
@@SallyChristianMusic Thank you for your comment Sally.🌹 I thought of those little yaps that puppies use.I like to think that Chopin,on perhaps hearing this, was inspired to express it this way 🤗
@@peterbrenton410 You are welcome! I agree, it's exactly like the "yipping" & "yapping" of puppies ..., in a musical and lyrical way, not piercing. 🐶 Sweet and gentle. 🎵

Learning this atm after learning Fantasie Impromptu, so luckily the 3:4 poly rhythm is easy! Great lesson thanks! Such a joyful piece compared to is partner op 64 no 2!!
Hello Matt, thank you for your very nice words about the lesson! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I wish you all the best with your playing of this delightful and yes, joyful "Minute Waltz!" :-)
yeah, the way the measures are organized,8 measures should be grouped together. its interesting though, the chorus,i think it could be viewed as3barsx3, or 3barsx2+2, 4barsx2+2its between 3/4 and 4/4 its life blending europe and middle eastern influences the time and notes blend into eachother its key Db, but Gnatural puts us in KeyAb,KeyEb appears as well i think its not ment to be played straightbut none the lessits all good
I am playing on a Roland FP30X digital piano and am having real trouble with the ornaments. I feel like my keyboard's action is too slow for this. Is it just that I'm no good, or would an acoustic grand piano help a lot?
Hello driving Force, it is difficult for me to answer your question without hearing you. Does your Roland keyboard have weighted keys? The trills on this piece are not easy, and require a combination of quick wrist "lateral motions" plus finger striking. Perhaps you could find a grand piano to play and see if it is any easier to play the trills. I wish you all the best with your inquiry and your playing.
