Nice job on the town! Thanks for showing the system for the lights. Looks fairly simple and user friendly. I need to work on lighting more of my city on the Austin Tinplate Trackers modular layout.

    For display - storage..
I would help my brother Hang his antique Eskimo miniature kayaks From the ceiling With
fishline, Making it a stunning way to display them. You could do the same with your locomotives
That way all 4 sides and the undercarriage Would be visible. You could even shine lights upon them. That is my storage solution for you. 😊

Like what you did with that area Chris! It was cool to see how you did your sidewalks. I installed those Woodland Scenics light posts a couple of years ago and I love them. More prototypical for the city than what I was using before. Looking forward to the next update!

Chris, the scenery looks great! I feel like the “lack of storage” was just an excuse for you to rebuild this section of your layout to create a town scene. It was worth it as I am hooked on the series and can’t wait to see what you do next.

Amazing what you can create with a little imagination and know-how. Honestly I find the scenery, buildings, lighting to be more satisfying than running the trains. Especially when you have a smaller layout. Its like the hunt for a train, or engine and finally getting it can be more fun than actually having it. Anyway your change will be great for your videos. Good job!

Chris it looks awesome I did my Main Street in a similar fashion just used painted plexiglass to make sidewalks and building foundations. I also glue black foam sheets from hobby lobby painted with Apple Barrel pavement color which get from Walmart. Gotta save somewhere those buildings are not cheap. Of course not much in this hobby is cheap. Hope to make up to Pa and York someday

New Town is looking amazing. I love what you did with it. Can't wait to see it finished.
As far as what to do with the strip of land that you said maybe flowers or something. I was thinking since it's at the base of the hill.... how about some drainage gates for when it rains.

A rail fan park might be cool behind the building with the ice cream shop. Maybe even a micro camera to “live stream” like the virtual rail fan channel. Anyway just an idea. This is a helpful video on modeling techniques.

Great job on both the project and the video. Good plan for that space. Those woodland scenic buildings are really nice. When I do a stripe or line on a scale model, I usually start by painting the stripe color, then mask it with tape, and then paint the item color. Backwards from the way things get done in real life. I built a large lower level storage yard for one of my layouts. I did not like it. I should have left more clearance between levels. It was just too hard to see what was going on.

Hi thankyou for another enjoyable video. Being rather new in the train scene i am trying to learn as much as I can. Q- what scale is your layout. As I was looking at the footpath/sidewalk it is really quiet big in size. Anyway again thankyou for yr videos. Cheerz for now. Denise W.A.
