Jon Courtenay was amazing, but the Stand By Me performance just looked under rehearsed . Lovely to hear the little tribute to all the pianists. I used to play that Les Dawson ragtime style years ago at school. The music teacher was always late, so while we were waiting, I would play "Joplin a la Dawson", knowing that there was a geography class next door who could hear me playing! I'd forgotten all about that until just now.
The first time I saw you perform was when you played as guest musician at the Tuesday night jazz club (San Clemente Casino, Menorca)... 2004, I think? I instantly recognised your talent, it’s just shame it took others so long! Great to see that you’ve had the success you deserve 👍
