this knife is 272 layer twisted damascus. it is forged really thick and grinded thin to make the pattern look better.
the handel is made of cocobolo and BUBINGA wood and German silver.
i hope you enjoy the video
And one other comment...I'd love to see you start putting a maker's mark on your work. Your knives are works of art.
Awesome knife, as usual, but why don't you forge the Damascus stock out thinner? Seems like you had enough for at least 2 blades, but ground and milled it all away. If you could make an adjustable positive stop on your press you could get a uniform thinner piece of raw stock.
AndTheCorrectAnswerIs I forged way to thick On purpose because the twisted Damascus look better in the middle of the twist
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! Regards from Brazil.
Слишком много отходов получилось от клинка, можно было 2 ножа сделать.
really digging the hilt. i think i might try something similar now 🤔
good knife btw..but you've wasted a quite amount of good material..i think it'll be enough to make 2 blade
Результат отличный, но ковать Дамаск, потратить столько ресурса в виде: электроэнергии, материалов Гринберга, ленты и так далее. И потом что бы уничтожить такой слой заготовкм это глупо.
Very nice - great job ; have a blessed day
Nice blade. By the way. Which band sings? Heard them before.
Hello Brother..
may i ask some questions;
1. what is the name of material @ 01:07 or @02:32
2. also what is the liquid name @11:13
hola
excellent work, everything you forge is incredible
YxDie Ergebnisse sehen toll aus. Aber der grosse Materialverbrauch.....
a lot of work turn out pretty well great job! ;)
A truly beautiful knife. Well done.
Amazing work, you have a God given talent. Excellent craftsmanship and vision. Stunning work. If I had the money I'd give you $1000 for that blade.
great job you did there, young sir! keep it up and take care
Why dont you use your milling machine for the tang work? It cuts/pockets better-easier than a drill and file.
Great video and awesome knife!
Very very well done. Awesome.
I'm sure people have told you this before but you use a touch too much flux. You only need to barely coat the surface. And before the billet ever hits the fire you can soak it in kerosene. Alternatively you can put the billet in the forge just long enough for it to start getting temper colors, sprinkle it with flux and then use WD40 to move the flux into the different layers of he billet
that damascus turned out really great! good job!
Totally stunning knife, with museum quality craftsmanship, thanks for sharing.

Det ser sgu godt ud, men hvad sker der med båndpudseren, det ser ud til at båndet kører fra side til side...👍

Маловато металла взял за основу. Больше нужно было выбрасывать с обрезками!
