Basing a diss song off of if the beat jams or song sounding good is like saying " yea, the Lakers beat the Celtics. But the Celtics were doing alley oops, no look behind the back passes and half court three pointers. The Lakers all they did was pick and roll plays they were so boring. So in my mind the Celtics won because there play was more exciting"..
That’s because drake is remedial bro. So he’s easy to understand. People were judging the songs. Drake was making club songs Kendrick was making diss songs. Drake can’t out rap Kendrick. K-dot made the better songs. Kendrick had better beats. Kendrick had better lyrics and a better flow.
You're correct, but a majority of people really don't want to think while being entertained. It's weird seeing so many people who make music or report on it, so disconnected to what's going on.
Kendrick was making murder mystery Dave Chappelle run around and come back to it art shit, which is cool.. but Drake had way more disses, let's be honest!
@@1729saverick y’all taking this ish way too serious bro bro. At the end of the day nobody cares about drake and Kendrick beef. I said what I said and if anyone doesn’t like what I said oh well. I don’t care.
We all won. Good music out of both of them, even though the latest Drake diss was a flop. Overall lots of good hits, and classic songs in this back and forth. We still haven't realized how great this was because we're still in it.
Hit em up is a banger🔥🔥, music is emotion and when you match the emotions of the beat with the flow and lyrics, you get a proper song put together. drake went in harder but kendricks bars are more complex. I have more kendrick in my playlist
haha I still got like 4 Drake songs in the playlist and one of kendrick that I barely like lol but I'm just saying as far as votes, it's clear the people think it's K Dot lol
A lot of those "fans" of yours were saying a lot of disrespectful stuff to you, even some to the threat of unfollowing you. Not cool. I still respect you, I'm still a student of yours regardless of me graduating in 07 (HS) & you in 09. What I do know, is that regardless of who won, it's not a beef worth disrespecting people over. Especially when neither of these artists (or producers involved) make or break our lives in any way shape or form atm. With all that being said, Kendrick still won but only because his lies generated more buzz. The people didn't care as much til Meet The Graham's & Not Luck Us were dropped back to back. While full of misinformation, the streets started talking & haven't shut up since. Much love as always, Game. 👑
I get why you based it off the beats cuz you're a producer, but this is a rap beef. Also, don't sleep on the danceability of They Not Like Us. Total banger. And Kendrick is even beating Drizzy in terms of numbers, which don't matter imo but they're the big thing Drake had over Cole and Kendrick.
Tbh ain't nobody winning the beef cuz they are both too big and the allegations that r being thrown needs some receipts to go with them all I hope is that it stays on record and not in the steeets
I hear what you're saying so I'l simply add this.. Both the message AND the delivery is paramount. YES, it does need to capture the ear sonically. It also has to capture the audience to win/influence their point of view. I'm from Da Bronx been knee deep in more than I'l ever speak on publically. The history of it as well as the evolution of it to this day proves that you need BOTH elements, I got K. for the overall. When it comes to the culture vs the industry factors Drake made a dent here & there. 1 example to give just a little insight would be actual modern day battle rap. No beat! Canibus played in both(lost in both ironically) yet ppl remember 2nd rd KO more than LL's track that beat him! He never learned how to sway the crowd(which is the objective in battles) & didn't relate to the Culture enough in either situation. I'l end this with The Culture judges the character PLUS what they say PLUS how they say it, apologies for the long wind, still it had to be put out here💯
I haven’t gotten a Kendrick track in a while. Euphoria for 1 is a good track for my workout and from a lyrical standpoint was on point. The “Meet the Grahams” track brought a haunting vibe which brought out a feeling with simple keys. Plus Kendrick’s lyrics on that track was on point. The “Not like us” track brought a bounce that with good sampling made a summer jam joint. When I herd Drakes track it was a nice beat but not as catchy and didn’t have the replay value to did. Kendrick wins.
we come here for Hip-Hop amongst many things. And for you to say the production behind Kendrick weren't moving is concerning as producer yourself. Even saying saying a lot of Kendrick bars didn't stick when everybody and they momma out there singing his bars. Music is not about making you dance, it's about executing the emotion you wanna convey with that particular track. Kendrick executed his versatility very well. We out here turning up to Euphoria, partying to Not Like Us and we scared to listen to Meet The Grahams... As producer myself I've listened to then Drake joints. Drake snapped on Push Ups, but otherwise the rest didn't impress me. Production wise them beats were moving, but production-wise it's quite simple as any other boring easy cook-up Drake beat. Kendrick won with flows, lyrics, delivery, versatility, production and charts. And for you to not have noticed it from the off makes me question your integrity. Do you even know what Hip-Hop is?
I grew up on drake as well from 2009 and 2010s after Take Crae his music didnt hit he same to me. When Swimming Pools blew up i disliked it. After HS my palette of music changed, I started listening to Kendrick and whole Black Hippy group. So guess you can say I grew out of Drake. Now im a causal listener of him. He held his own in this battle but he was never going out rap Kendrick. This was a W for HipHop tho.
I just don't listen to drake because I don't like the way he presents himself. I don't like the way that he talk or rap about, he lost me after scorpion. I like authenticity an intricate style, always been a Kendrick fan. I am very much biased. all assholes have opinions and I just had to pop a fart rq.
No you are basically saying you need to connect with the most people. Nope. It’s not up to the artists to dumb it down for the normies. You are only thinking about numbers, not the artist performing at their best
Drake is the uber-successful lightskin Canadian pop rapper, of course the internet is going to hate. Kendrick is the “real” “street” afro-centric American rapper. Ppl just gunna choose sides based on this. Like i said last time: most of these tracks were weak. But Family Matters just goes hard.
No hate man... but for real... it's weird seeing you gawk from the sidelines as two black artists down eachother after you went on a religious crusade against Weaverbeats. I know you're trying to get the views but uhhhh.... hella weird. Hella weird.
Drake vs Kendrick in a RAP battle and there are actually people leaning towards drake 🤦🏾♂️ drake is a hit maker Kendrick is the better rapper. Its a RAP battle. Drake's last response wasnt even good it was so sloppy. So many openings and questionable lines. "I wouldve been arrested" "im to famous to be a pdf file" "aww honey boo boo was molested 🥺 i get it now" even tho those werent kendricks lyrics. He claims to be all about facts but couldn't get bro lyrics right? Stop. Nobody mentioned millie brown. "Never looked twice at a teenager" ...there is literally a growing Twitter thread of all the times he has "looks twice" at teenagers ill leave it at that. Contradictions, sloppy lines, no attack only defense. I dont see how he won. Kenny called out WAYYY more than the pdf file stuff but thats ALL he seemed to wanna defend 🤔
I liked the first two Drake diss tracks when I play the Kendrick diss tracks. I play those Drake diss tracks are goods but the last drake song was an L for me.
Just putting this here my stance is that, eminem is my favorite rapper and I gotta use a dictionary for most his songs but his a barsmith. And complication must not be a big deal since he has more fans than probably both rappers but I think it's about bars at the end of the day. A nice beat feels like you are covering up your rapping talent and hiding behind a banging song because you are misdirecting the audience from your inability to rap. no hate on drake he slaps and Kendrick is awesome too but that is my point of view
to me they are pretty mediocre tracks, from them both, lyrically and musically. Sure, people can have their "favorite" but from there to try to make this to some kind of next-level event says a lot about the low level plastic processed-food people are been fed culturally these days, anything is suddenly aaaaaamaiziiin" ... but i guess when 99% put out there is crap you have to simply lower the bar and pretend crap is now decent, average is now great and two notes in tune a verse and a chorus is now "unprecedented ...
I don't think Kendrick is winning. The mixes were bad if you listen to that shit on bigger speakers you can't understand the lyrics because it's too muddy. Drake baited kendrick, had better mixes and is definitely the bigger and more successful artist. There's probably some rapper in some city in some cafe that can be Hella creative with his bars and music. But really the question is what makes you a successful artist? Is the insanely creative bars or being certified number 1 everywhere or is it about a little bit of both? Well either way you pick, drake wins for me
