Thank you for taking the time to make this comparison. I was wondering if these are the same pen under two different brand names. Is there a good fountain pen that accepts G nibs?
Glad to hear my video was useful. Yes, there are fountain pens that are using G nibs and work very well. I mention them in the "Final thoughts" section - for a more beginner friendly pen, have a look at the Osprey fountain pens. For a pen that can use India ink and acrylic ink, but is NOT beginner friendly at all, have a look at the Ackerman fountain pens. Both cheaper than the Bluedew pen. I planned reviews for both these pens in the future.
Lorelei is actually just the shuiyao brand. The Chinese words translates to shuiyao. Also the pen bodies I assume are made in China but the blue dew nibs are not. I checked on taobao, there is no sign of the blue dew nibs (at least as far as I have found) even this model is not found in the taobao search. Weird. Do you happen to have the link where you got these pens?
Interesting to know - thank you! I have seen the name ShuiYao but did not realized is Lorelei. I do have the link - hopefully UA-cam lets me post it :). These are the guys I got all 3 pens from: www.ebay.ca/itm/284087309251?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=i0KA53M8RCm&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=i9qvUtuWRpO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=EMAIL
Thanks for watching and I am glad you enjoyed my little sketch :). The funny part to me is that the nib that I wanted the most disappointed me and I was not able to defend it :D. Ignoring the price "Bluedew nib" sells at, I think is a pretty solid nib, have nothing against it.
