Jackie talks to Ridge about the possibility that Brooke’s baby is Nick’s. Ridge firmly believes the child is his. Jackie wants to know if Ridge will step aside if the baby is Nick’s. Ridge states he is not feeling any forgiveness for Nick. Jackie asks him to consider all the time he lost with Massimo because Eric raised him. Brooke and Nick discuss Ridge’s decision to stand by Brooke. Nick is glad they are working things out. Brooke is determined for Ridge and Nick to make peace but Nick doesn’t think that’s likely. Brooke wants Nick to know he belongs in their lives so she gives him back the compass he gave to her to always guide him back to the family. Meanwhile, Stephanie is worried about what Ridge is going through. Samantha assures Stephanie she will be there for Ridge. Stephanie realizes Samantha is in love with Ridge and urges her to tell him how she feels. Samantha anxiously agrees but when she sees Ridge she fails to go through with it. Samantha simply tells him she is concerned that Ridge will get hurt. Ridge appreciated her looking out for him.
