In response to 5:00 it depends on the gel that you use. It’s best to use a conditioning gel or some sort of tamer. My personal favorite is ampro shine n jam conditioning gel. The purpose of the gel is not to slobber the braids love!😂 it’s to tame the hair and hold it in place so you can make your parts cleaner and more precise and make it easier to do the braids without hair getting all over the place. It’s also gives your braids a much sleeker look and longer hold. On another note, awesome job!
I have the same hairtype as you and whenever I use gel or any slippery products when braiding I lose grip too. I prefer to wash and use a leave in the day before then do it dry the next day

I learned my hair works better with less product. Now, that I think about it. But, crazy I didn't pay it any attention. Now, I can pay it more attention to get the styles I want...lol thanks for bringing that up!!! Girl, you helped me out alot.... I thought I needed alot of product; but, my hair would be a mess. Now, I'm learning ratios lol if that makes sense.

I like the Xspression hair.I think it beginner friendly cause it doesn't shed alot like other brands do.It also doesnt tangle alot.That's annoying .Yes its not shiny either

For the bald spot in the middle of ur head u should try lime juice honey & coconut oil I had the same bald spot & my hair grew back hella fast after ive tried the treatment

I My hair is finer like yours. I think girls with kinkier hair do better with more product. And finer hair does better with less. Just something I've noticed. If I could braid the back of my head, I'd be rocking this. You did such a good job . . . (What's new?!)
