Thank you for this. I am going to do similar work tomorrow but I'm using 6 panels of 300W. What do you think? Also, how much will the whole system cost at the present economy?
A good video straight forward but the music shouldn't be louder than your voice because I could barely hear your voice at some points. My question is how many mm wires did you use for your input and output. Then why use green wires instead of the regular black for Neutral Red or blue for Live
@@colcent_solar Good Evening can I connect 6 300W panels in series to IVEM 3024 so I can power Air Conditioner during the day? Because I need to decide between IVEM and IVPM
@@suleimanmuhammedhady1198 yes you can, depending on the size of the AC and the make of the panels, for eg if the AC is 1hp 795w you can use it because the panels can power it and still charge the batteries at a time.so you will not be left with nothing at night
@@colcent_solar The AC is dual compressor inverter AC I observed that the watt on the indoor is 1250w so I was initially thinking of IVPM series but then I recalled there is IVEM batteryless. Good evening sir ..i noticed once you switched on the battery breaker, the inverter didnt get any power, untill the solar panel breaker was switch on, was when the display lit up ..does this mean its PV activated...if yes, what then happena at night when the PV is down? ..does it mean the inverter cant just run on the battery voltage? I have this exact felicity inverter and two 12v, 200ah batteries, cos i don't have money for panels for now. please, how do i get your contact for installation?
there are the conversational inverters that are hybrid so you mean transformer less and transformers. both are good depending on the brand you are going for
Nice video, I'll love to have your contact as I'm a beginner in the solar installation business and I'd love to have some detailed explanation from you
Nice video. Very interesting. But my question is can you use AC breaker in place of DC breaker and how many amps for a 24v 440ah battery is recommended
i really like tubular batteries to the sealed eg like trojan ,quanta ,Addo etc the two battery types are good ,you make your choice to the one you want and prefer considering the space and area, they charge cycles depends on the battery company and the way you or the customer uses the battery you can buy an original battery of 2000 cycles and it wont last one year, same battery in the hands of another person may last 4 years.completely discharging your batteries to 0 affects the life span of the battery, some people after the inverter off(battery low) they will off it and wait for some time and on it back😁,doing this cuts the life of the battery into half caution ⚠️ does allow your batteries to go down completely before the next recharge, you will enjoy the battery weather sealed or wet i personally prefer the wet cells because it can be maintained.
@@colcent_solar Great explanation. I've used sealed batteries for more than 8 years and they all fail after about 300 charge cycle. I started moving into lithium batteries last year and its the best. Always charges fast at high current (like 10 times the current lead acid batteries charge with), and can discharge very high current instantaneously. It also has (from what felicity wrote) 3000 charge cycles. Though its very costly.
Bro my felicity inverter does not show any voltage from the panels, also it shocks when you touch the body, I checked there are no loose connection. The battery isn't charging cause the inverter refused to show PV voltage. I've set battery type etc. I have a felicity charge controller that works just fine I don't know why this didn't
@@colcent_solar I had to watch your videos from start to finish to understand that the inverter is high voltage, I have 12 200w panels. I will try connect it 6 series each giving 2 parallel tomorrow to see how it performs. What do you think?
if your inverter is 500v vdc just like that one , 6 series will be nice 👍, the start up voltage is 120v vdc that means if the panel voltage is not up to 120v the inverter wont charge
It’s depends ,the one in the video minimum voltage is 120v and maximum voltage is 500v. So if the voltage is not up to 120v it won’t charge, make sure you are within the voltage range, use your multimeter to be accurate
I have this problem in my new installation. My pv voltage is 140 volts but the panel icon doesn’t lite up. It doesn’t charge lithium battery either! Help!
The panels are connected in series because the minimum PV input voltage of the inverter is 120VDC and 500VDC highest, if the PV voltage is less it won't charge
