I love the Tooli art pens. I have several sets. I have the blues, greens and the assorted set and I have Earth & Skin. I don't recognize your experiences. But you do indeed have the old set from Earth & Skin. I have the new formula. They are numbered and have an ink level window. Other than that, no problems. They are doing well. Now I still have the other sets on my wish list: the reds, grays and the yellows. I want them all ;)
Thank you for your honest review. I was looking at the Earth & Skin set, but they were a little more money than I wished to pay so I've been holding off buying them. I'll keep thinking about it.
For me, the Earth Tone set definitely fills in the gap of all the bright Posca pens I have. I love Posca but they don't carry many organic looking colors.Took me quite a while to make that purchase too-when it comes to art supplies I have to make a conscious effort to restrain myself.
I'm pretty happy with the Tooli markers- unlike Posca they come in so many colors/sets that other brands don't carry. I have the Earth tone set and also just got their set of black fineliners which I love. Eventually I'd like to get the Reds/Pinks set too.
Really interesting to hear your thoughts on these. I have the same older set of skin/earth tones, and mine are basically useless as they just won't work now. I think my colour matches are a little better, but I do still have colours that are nothing like the swatches/caps. I have not bought anymore, as I was annoyed by the quality/lack of ability to use them long term (many have dried and just won't work) but I'm thinking I will give one of the pro series colour sets a go, as clearly they are different compared to my current set. Great to see these side by side, and hear your opinions on them, thanks so much👍
Thanks for your review & demo. Ive been trying to find a less expensive alternative to Posca for 1/2 a year. I thought I had found it in Artistro but they clog & leak more than Posca. It may be better to just buy Posca & be done with the search. Haha
How do these show up on black paper? I like doing mandala and African pattern type art on black paper(dots) and I have some cheap pens that don't show up well on black paper and I find Posca very good, but expensive
I don't have either of these sets, but I have one by Tooli-Art. I was missing a yellow and they doubled up on silver, which is okay. I'm having the same issue where it takes a lot of priming to get the colors to flow right and I did smear a few dots on one of my pictures, so I've learned to add color, then let it sit for several minutes. I also had issues with the yellow not mixing well, so the first several markings I made were not good. I do not know whether I would purchase the skin and earth colors set. It's hard to find a good acrylic paint marker. I think I'll splurge for the Poscas.
Hi...I just received the new version of Earth +Skin Colors set and no probs with any of them- fab colour palette.Maybe they'd send you a new set if you contact( when you're able to) them and explain the probs you had.
Thank you for this review. I purchased the skin and earth set the first week of November. I finally had the time to swatch them tonight. I'm sorry your set is less than desired. I think you must have gotten an old or bad set. My colors all very closely match the lids and mostly all are fully opaque. They also have the numbers at the top of the caps and the ink level window on the sides. I intend to purchase more sets. Which do you think would be the next most useful set for following your tutorials other than the green set that I just barely ordered? LOL
Thank you! Yes, I think that I got a bad set.... Have you seen their new pastel color set? amzn.to/3GHdNap I'm waiting for mine and I'll try to do video with color swatching. I think that colors look pretty.

Thank you so much Alena, I almost just bought these skin tone markers, I really appreciate your honest review. I will be getting the green set lol.
My advice - Purchase their pastel set! In my opinion it's the best. I got it and I'm very happy with color selection and marker quality
@@ColoringwithAlena Thank you so much, I will get that set!
Thumbs up and thanks for shaing.....All of those greens. lol. Nice.

Thanks Elena. I’ve been thinking about getting one of these sets as I have an older mixed set that I like. 👍
Some charms or spells. That was great
Hopefully you have been able to get the newer version by now. They are so fun.
