Straddle carrier - take a ride inside

- Container terminal Århus Denmark. Logistic problem. We pick up a container at the yard and drive it to a "public road" truck. But the truck is not on place yet, so we have to wait for it. When the truck arrives it got a container on it which has to be removed first.
Bonus: In the end of the film there is a short clip where a "container vessel hatch" is being placed on the vessel. It was not supposed be there - my mistake. Maybe I should upload the hole movie, as it is really a "collectors item" ;-) - Авто та транспорт

No utr’s or top handlers? Everything is done with straddle carrier at this port. Where is this at? Port of what
Port of Aarhus, Denmark.
It's 10 years ago so could remember wrong but I think I saw some reach stackers. But they were not primary for handling containers.
chlor wow thanks for the info man 👍🏼 im a longshoreman in the port of Los Angeles and Long Beach in California. Not many yards on my end use straddle carriers to handle containers. We have specific equipment and probably more than what I see here for handling containers in different scenarios. Still cool to see how different ports handles things.
@@jonathanmuro1011 i know this is from a while back, but i work at this terminal as a dispatcher. We use straddle carriers, and reachstackers. We dont have fancy yard cranes yet, as we do not handle enough TEU yearly. Additionally, we are extremely short on space currently, so no real room to build giant cranes to handle yard. the volume increased by 100% over the last 4 years, so maybe who knows, soon enough!
galactic president superstar mcawesomeville cool good to know thanks for the information and your insight on it. 🙌🏻
