70 year old Boomer guitar player here - just took up cubing to keep both fingers and a-brain exercised. I'm lucky to get a 2:30 solve using beginner's beginner's....need to find faster F2L and PLL and get left hand turns to feel like right hand turns. Not knowing JACK except that the old Rubiks I had couldn't do what I saw on the videos I bought the RS3M 2020 and man that thing to me is exquisite..like my ol' 'Cuda faster than F right up until you die. Then I bought another and added the magnet kit which again not knowing jack added weight but also seems to be a little more stable. Lastly I went to Temu and dropped $12 for the RSM Super Ball Core (the gold core) and now am totally confused - that thing is so silky but faster than F with not enough resistance - way faster than my pay grade but as a rook I think I have 3 basic feels covered except for a straight mag-lev non ball core. I have some Galaxy lube but haven't worked up nerve to use it, lol. Never too late for a new hobby ! (where's the damn cube emoji????) 👀

The rs3m 2020 if you mess with the tension you can go beyond 45° and its INSANE for the price

yes rs3m 2020 is very amazing! i have expensive cube, like tornado v3 pio, wrm 2021, gan 11 m pro, but my main is rs3m 2020 mod edge magnet + ballcore, idk why, just enjoyed the cube solved sub20 ao100. Btw rs3m 2020 now have a corner magnetic slot for ballcore, you just buy 3x3mm or 3x2mm magnet, and pickup ballcore on the super rs3m bc, no glue, no magnetic kit diy, juat plug in, and enjoyed your mod rs3m 2020.

rsm3 is so amazing that it is a budget cube and still relevant yearsss after its release
Idea for another comparison vid - all RS3M's from 2020 to V5 - 2020, 2021, Super, Super V2, and V5, covering all versions of each.
I honestly think the best budget cube is the super rs3m 2022 standard. I know the rs3m v5 exists but the super rs3m is different because it's 56mm and has magnets stronger than the rs3m 2020 and rs3m v5. It's also 78g. The rs3m v5 dual adjustment is the same price as the super rs3m and it is different because its 67g, 55.5mm and has slightly weaker magnets. Tbh, the weight doesn't really bother me unless it's over 90g.

I have 3 RS3 M 2020. I also have a GAN 11 mag and dont even touch it anymore. RS3 M 2020 is the best cube I have ever used. Dont get me wrong I wanna try a GAN12 maglev but i cant justify the 50$ when the rs3 m works so well

It’s hard to say, as cubes are preference based. Between the RS3M 2020 and the Monster Go, I (and most other people) would pick the RS3M. I do recommend exploring some more modern options if your budget allows, you’re best off watching reviews to determine which cube would better suit your unique turning style. :)

Where the V2 has repelling edge-core magnets and the V9 doesn't, I kinda expected he'd tackle why it wasn't featured.

the super v2 is unnecessary in my opinion. Moyu shouldve made a WRM 2021 but with a ball core and gold eternals and call it a day :/

This cube was my first cube. I genuinly loved it. I've lost interest in cubing over the years.
I tried the Qiyi M Pro because seller send this cube instead of Qiyi Ms😢,but performance wise it's absolutely amazing. Actually if you see the internal,more of moyu stuff in there and gives moyu feel. If I could change the name of Qiyi M Pro,I would go to Meilong 3m v2. Cause the feeling in your hand was kind of meilong,more on rounded cube and meilong 3m with spring adjustment. The cube was very fast and to every turn the cube was very airy. I think Qiyi M Pro is alternative cube if you don't like the heavy feeling cube of Super Rs3m (standard) cause for me,they have the same perforamance to me. Okey it's time to make cube's review haaha.
tbh i got it when it was really popular and i didnt like it. too slow for me.
Can't argue with it's value for only 9 bucks
