As one of the composers on Surviving Mars (first two hours of music) I can't express how happy I am while reading all your comments. Thank you!
Fe is by far my favourite, I think it really captures a good 'Industrial Space' type of theme; Love it and great work.
Георги, Велик сте! Заради такива хора като Вас съм горд, че съм българин. Някой ден ще Ви намеря и ще Ви го кажа лично! Да сте жив и здрав и много успехи занапред!
H3PO4 is by far my favourite! Although the rest of the songs are still amazing too!
I love the combination of tension and hopeful optimism. I wish video game composers won Grammys. Even Baba Yetu didn't make it until it got included in a traditional album...
I added it to my mix of Beyond Earth & Stellaris music. It's also surprisingly relaxing, so I included it in my Dido/Enya mix too. Good stuff!
It's amazing, thank you so much for this work.
As the guy behind the official mars radio and quantum sonics(together with Paulina Palmgren) i appreciate this!
huh, loads of staff are showing up now aren't they? I loved the official mars radio and would play it anytime I was playing. The other ones just weren't right somehow. Thank you for making it!
All of you composers are absolutely amazing and have given us a gift even beyond the game itself which is also a gift. We cannot thank all of you enough. Especially those of us who work in stem, and are constantly dealing with the sciences. Being able to listen to this while we do physics, mathematics, coding, computing and other things that I have seen here is a gift of the first magnitude. Thank you so much
The Free Mars Radio is amazing! More tracks though cause I love it all and wanna hear more!
I love this song so thanks for making it!
I teach 7th grade science - I like to put this on in the background during tests. Thank you for all the wonderful music!
it gets good after 0:00
LOL And the best part is, your right! :D
Ooh sweet, that's my favourite part as well!
Lol that means the entire theme!
Hey i love the part from the music at this point too
I just don't like the part after 5:14:21 haha
Never played the game, but this is a great background for studying or coding. 10/10

Indeed. Just wrote a paper with this playing in background.
"Dust storm approaching"- I'm sure I have enough oxygen stored to wait this out
"Dust storm in progress- 4 Sols 23 hrs remaining" -(Does the math) - Everyone's going to die.
You too, eh? LOL!

"Coronavirus in Wuhan" - I'm sure I have enough toilet paper stored to wait this out

This soundtrack is literally what kept me hooked on many hour long sessions, it is singlehandedly the most immersive feature of the game and made me actually feel as if I was developing Humankind's colony on Mars. Amazing work.
Legit underrated game, hidden gem. I don't see it discussed nearly enough.
yeah, but the DLC they released was so cool

Can i go to you for being messed up
Hahahaha! Try watching your alien ant farm die to Quantum Sonics. :D
I think the games sending you messages. Your real objective is killing everyone
@2 Pugs Studios Are you sure that song only plays after a certain amount of time? Most of my colonies crash and burn and I hear that one a lot it seems.
It is not a bug, it is a feature
Perhaps the best original soundtrack I have ever heard in a video game. George Strezov has done a tremendous job! He has managed to capture that nostalgic "away from home" feeling so well. As a composer myself I'm not ashamed to admit i'm looking up to this piece. I wonder if he used real orchestra for this or software, and I'm pretty confident I can hear a few Moog sounds in there. Thank you for the music George!
Thank you, I'm speechless! There is a chamber orchestra on top, as well as some Moog synths indeed (new gen). There is a making of video with some behind the scenes shots of the recording sessions, etc.
Try Endless Legend, Deus Ex Remixed, Heroes of Might & Magic, Civilization 4,5 main themes
If humanity ever reaches Mars while I live, I hope I remember to put this soundtrack on while I'm watching it. This is how awesome I think it is.
2024, if everything goes fine with BFR.. Oh man, how I wait for this
Soon enough
u put this dreary soundtrack on humanity reaches Mars? Realy?
Not sure how old you are, but if you can wait ten more years before expiring I think you may witness the beginning... When you die you'll probably be a member of a two planet species:)
@@MsNavimor I imagine everyone playing what they wanna hear through personal headsets lol.... Just curious, what would you prefer (For me electronic when landing and Classical and Jazz at night ((Just think of the natural high from the views and thought?)

I totally agree with you, let me contribute mine: Xe (especially the part at 1:49:40)
We're all here for Xe
It's similar to one Terraria song, but the one from Terraria left us unsatisfied, this one goes further and is more majestic
Walker from Red Frontier best. Big thanks
I've been listening to this soundtrack when programming for like 2 years now. There's a certain tech peacefulness to it that just helps me work. Didn't even try the game till a few months ago and then I spent every evening playing it for a few weeks. Stopped playing after finishing it a few times. I still listen to the soundtrack while working :D

It's wonderfully peaceful to program to.
I used to do the same thing :P I was doing numerical analysis of calculus for my university and had to code in C++ and show different methods and determine the errors involved with like Newton's method as opposed to Runge-Kutta method and all that... This music helped me survive haha!

I love everything about the Red Frontier songs. Who knew colonising Mars would go so well with southern country folk music?
This has been known since the days of Firefly. ;)

imagine enslaving aliens there lol. that would be really southern
@@petmop1309 Technically one would have to import the aliens from a third planet's slave markets to Mars in Terran ships. And then try intensive agriculture in southern Mars. Could happen, but the people of Venus might get mad if Humans start exploiting them.
Honestly didn't expect this game to have such a good soundtrack. And I've listened to a lot of game soundtracks and am an audiophile in general. Something to be amazed at at almost every moment while sounding like a very traditional modern soundtrack.
@2 Pugs Studios As far as paradox games go, Stellaris has this beat. Still amazing however!
Play Subnautica, the music is absolutely part of the world-building...

The sound of humanity taking the next big step

That main theme is HOT. Haven't gotten that psyched at the start of a game in a LONG time.

First time played it on Gamepass at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. I had a hard time paying attention during the tutorial but after 3 tries, I just couldnt put the controller down. Now bought the game and all dlc's and still fully playing it. It's not a perfect game but it sure as hell scratches that astronomy itch I carry in my nerd self. Thanks for the upload, one of the best games I've ever played and loved dearly.
Very nice music! 🚀
i moved recently to a new country (Germany) and after one year, listening to this makes me to go at high speed through all of my learnings, my mistakes, my achievements, my failures... this gives me enough oxigen to survive the next storm
It's been quite some time now since I picked up Surviving Mars, and about 130 hours logged on it. That title track still gives me goosebumps.
This soundtrack makes me want to leave to colonize Mars tomorrow. Wonderful, evocative and thought provoking soundtrack!
I'm the kind of person who always listens to something on UA-cam while I play games. I don't do that for this game

I love the soundtrack so much, I am my most chill when I am playing this at night and this music is lulling me
I'm still listening to this soundtrack on a loop every day, and it's been an entire year! My new favourite bit is from 27:18, it gives me chills and makes me feel as though the work I'm doing is momentous. Truly a fantastic soundtrack.

Unfortunately it's not one of the red Frontier track, because when they hits you you feel no pain.
All the tracks are gorgeous but my personal fave is Mo, 1:38:55 . Caught me off guard, has some flavour too it. While playing the game any time it came on my head and shoulders would just start doing a lil dance. Love it!
Yes this piece is good
It's my favorite too! So dang good.
It’s the song that reminds me most of the first types of lichens starting to take root, and small pockets of water begin forming
This soundtrack is so versatile and sounds so good throughout. I find myself in other OSTs skipping certain spans of it because of the jarring shift in tone, but this maintains a beautiful, coherent tone all across and is absolutely a pleasure to listen to.

I've been listening from (1:58:54) 27. Juhanni Candycastle onwards on repeat for the last couple of weeks. It's really good music to work to. Also, if you play the board game Terraforming Mars (or even the digital version) this soundtrack is an excellent accompaniment. Fantastic soundtrack.
heh i have totally been doing that while doing solo runs with the physical copy... the way it builds up matches the generations as you work up i swear
3:29:57 makes me feel the sea on Mars :D love this song and this is the best soundtrack of all Paradox games in my opinion.
Absolute outstanding , love your music and of course Surviving Mars
Fantastic soundtrack. Silver, neon and phosphoric acid were stuck in my head days after I stopped playing the game.
1:47:55 legend music
my favorite so far!
Thanks for the time stamp
This game is so awesome, and the music is so fitting, relaxing while playing.
I've listened to the first radio station music (first 2 hours) honestly almost every day since about the game released. I absolutely love this soundtrack.
It fits with so many things, it helps me when I'm working. I like listening to it when walking about. I look at buildings being constructed in the city and it makes me think of this game.
The music is so atmospheric, I can just shut my eyes and feel like I'm in another world. The music is the perfect marriage for this game, it fits so well.
I think my favourite track has to be 02:42 H2O, because it feels like the start of an adventure. The start of a massive challenge, it sounds so other worldly and yet exciting.
Thank you for making this music, I love videogame music but there are very few I've listened to everyday for months. It's so good.
Haven't played the game for a few years now but I'm currently listening to the soundtrack while at work, really keeps my mood up while letting me be productive. Thanks so much to the composers!!!
Nobody in comments mention my favourite! 1:58:57 This is my absolute jam right there.
