@@ACMEMowing They are made here in Arkansas and I thought about buying one then well I didn't. I wouldn't care what you said or someone else, for 7500 to get a 20k mower. Good for you, run it and make money with it or keep it and just mow your lawn or 3rd option, sell it and make a profit.
Well it's a vlog......so that's the entire purpose of the videos. Some viewers are high schoolers. If you felt I was talking down to you then my message probably wasn't for you. We have a few that watch us that are just getting started in the Lawn Care business.....but some are experts and just watch to see the "been there, done that" when we make our mistakes. We make a lot of them. Less and less every year though!
I think it boils down to dealer support. We have great support for Exmark here at Link's Lawn Equipment in Mustang OK. It's right up the road from us. The Bad Boy dealership is a ways away and we haven't had any dealings with them at all other than for parts etc. It also depends on your budget. A new Exmark Vertex with the FX1000V 52" deck will run around $16K this coming year. That's a lot of beans. The Bad Boy Maverick HD 54" with a Kohler Command EFI 26.5 HP will run you around $10.5K in comparison. We've found that the support is more important than the brand.
We've been running Exmarks since day 1. We run them hard! The decks have proven to not be a source of failure. We've never had one issue with the decks at all. The Bad Boy decks are also very heavy duty. I think both decks are about equal as far as durability goes. At least in our experience with them.
Oh my gosh. People need tonju a t chill. 7500.00 i would have bought it as well. I had a similar situation with my 72 wright dually. Dealer put new motor on it and complete waranty. Mower only had 225 hrs on it. They put new 37 hp vanguard for 7500.00 bought on the spot.
People are nuts when it comes to brand loyalty. I mean I get it. I'm kinda the same way. But THIS particular mower is a stand-out. It's not the average Bad Boy zero-turn that's for sure. We could NOT pass on this deal! So we didn't. Sorry if people are butt-hurt about it. Not really. Haha!
That Bad Boy was a beast! We sold it as it was also VERY heavy! Many of our properties are irrigated. This machine was not designed to roll on a well irrigated lawn. Need to use lighter mowers for that reason.
I don't get it... So why is it you don't like eXmark mowers anymore? That Bad Boy though....would ya look at it...I mean it's nice and shiny...would ya just look at it!
ACME Mowing could I get your honest thoughts on something. I'm debating between a Quest X-Series or a Bad Boys Maverick? I have places that deal both and service both so that's not an issue. Thank you in advance!
You already know my thoughts I bet. You cannot go wrong with Exmark in my opinion. But, I have a dealership that actually cares about the customers that buy equipment from them. And it shows. I think the nearest Bad Boy dealership is 45 minutes away...and those mowers share floor space with used motorcycles and ATVs. I would be asking about service times. Some dealers here got a month behind last year. Some did first come first served. We spent our money with one dealership. We get a bit of priority because of that. That said. What will it be used for? The Exmark is the better machine. No doubt. The question is....is it worth the cost? If our Exmark dealrship was crap...I'd buy a Bad Boy if the price was right. Our next mower will likely be another Exmark. These things are tanks!
We have our eye on a few Scags. Our Lazer Z and Vantage are getting some pretty huge hours on them. No telling how much longer until they need replacing. We're going either Scag or Exmark. Our minds are still not made up.
Nope no one wants a mower .. Bad boy Bad boys what ya gonna do ? Super clean dirty knees what are these .. still out here yelling We Want game show night .. crap product good product , no one cares Ben you are cancelled.. We want game show night

That truck is more American than most American made trucks. Texans built that truck. I think my Ford F-250 was assembled in Mexico.
