    Nice video. Very helpful. As a longtime tool user for other crafts, I noticed that you are re-adjusting your grip on the axe a lot. Is this serving a concious purpose or is it because the handle is a bit too round for your hand? It honestly looks like your tool handle doesn't quite fit your hand.

    If you had some sort of clamping device would a draw knife be relevant to use in getting rid of the pith?

    Any tips for carving out of a thicker branch, rather than a log?

      Treat it the same, just give more attention to precision cuts with axe and knife, if its small enough then just use a knife rather than an axe.
