Thank you sooo much!! You know, sometimes I look back at projects and think, “How did I come up with that one?” LOL.,well, it definitely wasn’t me! It might just be Crafts, but I thank God for inspiration!!! Many blessings! 😀🍁
Sure wish there was a love button!!! Linda this is just too, too precious!!!!!!! I love watching you work!!!!! Such creative touches!!! And you give such a great tutorial!!!! Thanks so much for sharing this!!!!! As always, God bless and stay safe sweet lady!!!
Omg I love this hat❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️I was so excited to see your video today. I love watching you put all this stuff together. I have to say this is one of my favorite things you have done. I really love this hat❣️❣️😁thank you so much for sharing your ideas with us.
Ohhhhhh, I’d love to see them! There are a couple ways to show me, if you’d like....my email is: faythbydesign777@gmail.com . Or you can tag me on IG @faythchik777 or come join my FB group: facebook.com/groups/faythchik777diybydesign/?ref=share . And thank you for your kind words!! Many blessings, Jana! 😀
This is gorgeous, Linda! I love how you use so many different " bobbles" and I love how you use the inks. Your projects have so many details, but they never look too cluttered. All the instructions were also very clear! Tfs , have a wonderful weekend!🍂🍁💗
I enjoyed your video of your rustic scarecrow hat. I loved how you aged everything and how much was added and the final design was amazing. I love fall the best I live in Pa so our falls are awesome. My fav fall decor is scarecrow's. My fav scarecrow hat video. I settled in and watched all the way to the end but I was wanting more.. Ur very talented. TY for sharing
Thank you Susan! Yes, I worry, cuz I am behind a bit and haven’t started the Christmas yet, especially when everyone else has, but my brain is still in Fall crafting mode. 😉 TFW! 😀
wow, somehow I missed this one. Wow I love the scarecrow and this hat turned out so gorgeous and perfect for fall ! Enjoyed watching it. Thank you for sharing, have a beautiful day!
Thank you Luna! I do hope you try this! It’s fun and you can add anything to make it special! I bet yours will turn out just beautiful! Many blessings 😊
Love this version of your Frosty's hat! Brilliant! I wouldn't have thought of this. Thank you! By the way, I love using fabric tac. I started using it because of your suggestion.
I love that hat, you know i did some for all the holydays but i did not do one for fall , thank you for reminding me :) i love it .. stay safe Linda ...... wow you are very good for decorating............ : )🎃🍁
You are the best! Just watched the Santa and frosty hat videos. I have to make all three of these. They are just too cute. Can you tell me what kind of felt you are using please. I want to order some, but want to be sure I get the right kind 😊 Thank you for sharing your talent, and the great instructions 💕💕💕
Hey Theresa! I’ve used both kinds of felt on a bolt and have the amount cut that I wanted, but I’ve also just used the felt that’s already packaged (buying in store at walmart). It’s a little thinner but did the job fine and is about $7. It’s the brand EMMA&MILA black felt 36” x 72”. I found a link here on the Walmart site... www.walmart.com/ip/Craft-Felt-Fabric-Black-36-x-72-Soft-finish-felt-is-perfect-for-home-school-camp-and-everyday-craft-projects/451319948 Hope this helps! Thanks so much for your kind words! Many blessings! 💛
faythchik777’s DIY by Design Thank you for responding so quickly! I think I’ll go with a heavier felt. I just love them. I watched your video today on the mini hats. So cute too! I was in DT yesterday and found some more of those witches brooms 😊. Now, when I get to go craft shopping I try to think, is this something Linda would add to one of her creations. I always look forward to seeing what you will do next. Now I have to get to rusting!
Wow, another amazing master piece. Love how worn and rustic it turned out. You truly are a master at your craft. I totally believed you when you said you were going to get a lot onto the hat. I've seen you do it with other projects. Like the pumpkin pillow. Do you live near a Renae bouquets? When was the first time you came across her things? When you make items for your craft fairs. How many of an item will you make? Curious do you think you will ever make it possible for us to buy things that you do on your channel? 🙏. I hope so. Tfs ❤️
Of course, Tracy. 😀 If I can think of some other options for each project, I’ll definitely try and share, because I know we all don’t craft the same way or have the same supplies. Many blessings and thanks for watching!! 😊
Thank you so much!! YES!! That Fabritac holds it all in place, secure and for years. I’ve got projects from over 5-8 years ago still holding. While some things that people made me with hot glue, within a year, the embellishments have started popping off. I figure if Fabritac is for mending and hemming clothes and can go through the wash....it’s got to be good! Hope this helps! 😃
LOVE IT LINDA!! So darn cute... but I have a question, when you pin the top piece down do you leave the pins in and glue it? and if so can you staple and do the same process? And now I want coffee after seeing you used it!.. lol 😆
Soooo, my friend, I’ve already answered you as you know....but people read comments, so I’m gonna answer it here as well....so go grab another cup of coffee! 😜 I leave the pins in the fabric. They are short pins and after pinning it through the felt, nothing hardly sticks out to poke anyone and the glue covers them as well and the two pieces of felt for the brim also adds cushion. You could definitely staple the little flaps...I think that’s a great option! Hugsies!! 😘
Oh gosh...I haven’t figured that out yet. I usually try and do product x2. Some people do product x3 and some even account for some kind of time factor. We are in a lower priced area, so I will probably go somewhere between $24.50-28.50??? It probably cost me about $8-ish to make, cuz even though I used a lot of different picks and such, those picks and pinecones etc., can spread to 3 hats easily since I cut them up and use bits and pieces...well, not the pinecones (LOL). The fabric I used is already precut and costs $7 and I can get about 6 hats out of it. I’m also gonna try and make some smaller hats of these...about half the size maybe, so that if people don’t have a lot of room but want the decoration, there is an option, at a lower price...maybe somewhere about $13.50-16.50. Now if I was selling this on Etsy, I could probably get about $50-75....I really need to open a shop. 😜 anyway. Hope some of this helps and thank you for your kind words! 😀
Thank you for the reminder Bridgette! I did that once with one of my very first hats and had forgotten since! It definitely was easier and you don’t see it! Many blessings 😊
Thank you soooo much! You know, I’ve been thinking about this question and while I’ve not tried baking anything using the fabric glue, I don’t know that I would try. I tried a google search and came across people asking questions about using product like gorilla glue in the oven and most everything I read says that the extreme heat like that breaks down the bond of the glue. I’d kinda also be afraid of any glue fumes??? Anyhoooo, hope this helps! 😀
Hey Veronica! You can find this glue in any of the main craft stores like Joann’s, Michaels or Hobby Lobby and even Walmart. It also can be found and ordered on the Beacon website. I haven’t ordered it through there, but the prices, from what I’ve seen in store, seem very reasonable. If you buy in the craft stores, I’d definitely use a coupon...they are very proud of their prices...lol. Walmart’s price is reasonable as well without a coupon. Here is a link to the beacon site: www.beaconadhesives.com/product/fabri-tac/. Hope this helps! 😀
I absolutely love this hat.
