Hi Leonard, it was fun chatting with you again at the Big Shave West 3 a few weeks ago. Funny, but I see your Clubman Pinaud Eau de Quinine hair tonic on your shelf and I just used mine today. I love the black cherry scent and feel. I also have and like the orange Portugal tonic. Cheers, Mark
By far, my blue anodized AE is the MOST aggressive razor in my den. I'm learning to place the head flat against my face, similar to my GEM SE razors. Amen! Trust The Angle or it will chew your face up! The slant, combined with wide gap demand respect. It does give a very close shave and I'm sure that with more practice I will get better with it!
Very nice presentation. The only point of disagreement concerns the box. I would never toss such an attractive container. In fact it would store the razor when not in use. So, I'd see it more than once.. :P :D ;-)
I just purchased this guy. I put a Derby blade in it & unfortunately, I sliced the living day lights out of my face, worse than I've ever done in my 48 years of shaving! I even took a chunk out of my left side burn area. Obviously, this razor is too aggressive for me, I don't have the technique down yet, or that Derby is too sharp (which I highly doubt). Any others out there had a similar experience?
Thanks for the review. I've ordered the Bakelite version on a whim to try a slant and that one is very inexpensive. Nice see some tips on how to use it when it gets here.
Great review, as with all of the others ones I've watched that were done by you. Out of the slants that you've shown, which one do you feel had the best balance for efficiency and mildness?
Louis Leoncini all 3 shave sticks were made by Phoenix Shaving. one is sandalwood, next is clown fruit, and last is king r. emporium (made for razor emporium). I love them but don't use shave sticks too often. Good eyes!

Leonard, excellent shave! Love your focus on the angle. You showed the razor's efficiency nicely. Cheers!
zhpottery thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing the review. I'm a fan of slant razors, and that is definitely an interesting design.
Top Notch Excellent Review, Leonard. Professional as always. Thank you Buddy good to see you again.
Thank you for the review. The razor looks fabulous..

WolfRanger2008 I won't toss the box either. I keep all of them store safely under my sink. Never thought about storing the razor in it.
Another fine video.

Do you have a preference between the PAA DOC Bakelite Slant and this one, Leonard? Thanks!
Leonard, question above the towel rack behind you , you have what looks like to me 3 stick soaps if they are what are they. Thank You.
