I had aloe plants outside my house and every summer when I had a sunburn I would cut the spikes off and put it in the freezer and apply directly to my skin. Did this for well over 2 decades. I could be wrong, but I've never once heard of there being any kind of toxins at all. It was nothing but soothing and never irritated me

In the end, it's really all just conjecture. I mean, think about it. Sleeve thing aside, how much of a person is she to us? How much do we know about her? She likes candles, healthy food (?), cleanliness, and cozy clothes. What else? It really is hard to say considering from our perspective, she's just a pair of arms, and not a very talkative pair at that.

You must remove the aloin, which can be irritating to the skin. Before using aloe vera, soak the leaf in water, vertically - before cutting it - with the widest part of the leaf in contact with the water for a few hours, until a yellow drool comes out. Then, you can use the pulp.
