I wasn't sure what he was going to finish the sentence with but the way he said it, I felt like I hadn't anticipated and really got me to notice how well it was done. I like that even little shown side characters and their actors can leave an impression.
Its kinda just a theory at this point but some people (myself included) think the "You might be a Ghoul now" to be a red herring of sorts. And what the travelling medicine man gave him was actually a dose of FEV, which is what turns people into Super Mutants. It'd explain the rapid healing (which Ghouls aren't known to have) and also is certainly plausible that Maximus wouldn't know anything about Super Mutants so just goes straight to "Ghoul". Would be a great way of introducing us to the concept in season 2 as we see the poor guy "evolve"

Lost has had 6 seasons with an average of 20 episodes, in which it's answered every single question to a ridiculous degree. Fallout's 8 episodes obviously had to be much more economical with their time.
And if anyone wonders why Vault 4 had it, it's possibly cause they may be tank raised in the vault itself...alongside the Gulper we see floating earlier.
Remember that the show runs on video game physics. As long as you have 1 hp you’re not dead. Even if your limb is crippled you can still walk on it. And stim packs cause regeneration. 😉
The pack The Ghoul is carrying around is a saddle bag from his horse, from before the war. I suspect it holds some sentimental value so that's why he doesn't modify it.

Cooper was shot in the back several times during the big shootout in Filly and barely seemed to notice, so either his coat is heavily armored, which is a possibility in Fallout, or he regenerated the wounds. There's also when he sewed on a replacement finger and it immediately worked perfectly,.
Yeah I think they retconed ghoul biology a little bit, but to be fair, they did already have freaky healing abilities, especially when energized by high amounts of radiation.

I'm a big champion of weekly releases but I know if I'd had to wait a week after this cliffhanger with Norm I would have been climbing the walls and frothing at the mouth wanting to know what he saw. 😂😂 This was actually one of my favorite episodes and it set up the finale so well. It was incorporated into the GECKs (Garden of Eden Creation Kit) in a tiny scale, but even THEN, it yeilds enough power to turn patches of wasteland to look and function like clean fresh grassland. Thats how Shady Sands got its start, Vault 15 had one. (I think) Thing is, only the Enclave could "LEGALLY" use them, because they intended to be the ONLY authority left in America after The Great War. And even now, they intend to see that plot through at ANY cost. Hence why theyre Americas #2 BBEG faction: America, as thry view it, BELONGS to them alone.
what im confused about is when the buildings started getting power I mean didn't they already have some sort of power as in the games when you go in some lights are still on and elevators still function and in others like super duper mart in FO4 the PA system was still functioning as well.

But the Cold fusion is meant to provide for basically ALL of an entire city if not whole commonwealths on its own, more than ANY power source yet concieved. Now that the BOS has it in former NCR lands, they get to dictate where California prioritizes that power

Ghoulish is an Endurance perk in Fallout 4. Taking ranks of this perk grants the ability to restore lost HP when irradiated. Higher ranks increase the HP amount restored, grants a random chance for nearby feral ghouls to become friendly, and grants the ability to slowly heal Radiation damage.
I'll tell you guys right now one thing that I want for season 2: Ron Perlman. He just need to make one appearance, say "War, war never changes!" and that's it. I'll be fully satisfied.
The "Lost" comparison is funny. Johnathan Nolan (Christopher Nolans brother and like... head? of this show) also created Person of Interest together with J.J. Abrahms, a show that also starred Michael Emerson. And that show too had the same feeling of "Lost but with answers" (at least in the serialized parts of it).

Being a ghoul does give you extra healing, regeneration, resistance to radiation and long life but it has it's downsides too: Your skin, hair and nose fall off and you can go feral and lose your sentience, not to mention you're ostracized by the public in general. Also, while you can live indefinitely it's still up to you to retain your sanity, your humanity and avoid massage damage. Remember Roger. He didn't regenerate from massive brain trauma. So ghouls can die and be killed. So, Jay's right, there's some skill required on The Ghoul's part to still be alive.
Best episode of the season, IMO. Pure Fallout and Nolan was the real star. Janky side-quests (the "trial") and exploits/cheats (become a ghoul). Comedy gold. Norm with his hacking skills - nearly fell off the chair when I saw the monitor. How many hours did I work at that text-based version of Mastermind? 50+ yo gamer here. Tell me, guys: if you were playing Maximus, with his gear, and hadn't seen the trial, what would you have done? I'd have wiped out Vault 4 even though it f**ked up the rest of my campaign and I'd have to re-load an earlier save. I'd need a walkthrough to get past the act. Loving your reactions. Looking forward to Ep8.
If not for netflix and Warner Bros, no one would be questioning whether this would get a second season. But now we live in an era where two of the largest entertainment empires either scrap a project the second it gets released, or locks any evidence of its existence away for the sake of a tax write-off. Maybe when those two companies are forced to sell after their infuriating practices catch up to them the buyer will finally right those wrongs. But maybe that's just what little hope I have left peeking its head out of the proverbial vault just to watch the bombs land on top of it.

Hehehe, yes Jay nailed it. They knew what they were doing releasing all of this at once. Prime's figured out which shows can be spread out for the water cooler, and which ones you need to binge.
I saw a comment from one of the show runners that spaced release lets people build their favorite theories at the water cooler, then get upset when the show goes a different direction. With the rabid gamer fans they thought the binge release would keep the unfulfilled theory expectations to a minimum.
Jay’s family guy “Herbert” impression was great! And the dialogue of Amazon making this a super binge show is 100% accurate. My wife and I definitely had the same thoughts and dialogue as he portrayed!

Hehehe, yes Jay nailed it. They knew what they were doing releasing all of this at once. Prime's figured out which shows can be spread out for the water cooler, and which ones you need to binge.
I saw a comment from one of the show runners that spaced release lets people build their favorite theories at the water cooler, then get upset when the show goes a different direction. With the rabid gamer fans they thought the binge release would keep the unfulfilled theory expectations to a minimum.

I figure that the whole bit with the foot was just to show how utterly desensitized to pain these people are on the surface. If Ben Linus could deal with his foot being fed into a literal Cuisinart and then hobble away, someone in the Brotherhood is probably going to think of a mangled foot as the equivalent of a nasty blister.
