STORY BEHIND "My Life":
I was sitting on the edge of my bed looking at my Washburn acoustic guitar propped up in the corner of my room. A flood of feelings rushed over about "My Life", and so this song was born. I'm really a crap guitar player, I really used to always be lit, I truly adore my wife and family, and I very much miss the ones who are dead and gone. So, this song is genuine if nothing else.
Where you've been, where you are now, and where you WERE going are often wildly different scenarios. As they say, life has it's ups and downs. I think it's important to be grateful for the ups, recognize the difference, and understand that you don't deserve the ups. You are granted them, but by no doing of your own. This is my perspective, and the lens through which this song was written.

Life ain't easy but it's better when your free

Thought I dreamed real thing but it turned out fake
Really had no reason to be cold or afraid
What haunts me is the part I can't retrieve
Some of the family well they're gone for good
