Stormwacth is great!! Airbag one off my favorites bands. Don't forget Colours and Surveillance.
I've following this band since about 2008. They get better and better. This was their second album of 4 with a new release set for this year. I also endorse the 3 solo album's from the guitarist Bjorn riis who sings in his own right.
Never heard of this band across the pond... loved it and will be listening to more..
Hi Jim, was good to see your video today. This track is a real prog rock track that has all the buildups and a full story. It is a complete progression. I always listen to it when I feel homesick living in Australia originally from Egypt. The ending solo is killing. Enjoy mate

Hi Jim, lately i've been enjoying your channel a lot . So thanks for making such a wonderful content! You have ticked almost all the boxes for my musical taste. You even did Riverside which is not that known band. I would love to see some more Steven Wilson & Porcupine Tree stuff but There is one Swedish band that you might like. I'm talking about Pain of Salvation (mostly their older stuff). Since you have done few longer ones it would be nice to hear your reaction & thoughts about their concept album Be. Besides Pain of Salvation you could like Pure Reason Revolution or Division By Zero (Polish Prog Metal with amazing drummer) and their record Tyranny of Therapy
New discovery for me and i love it, the guitar is so moving just like Floyd, Steve Wilson, and P Tree who i'm going to see live later this year in London. So lucky i got a ticket! Awesome review..thanks and Subbed.

The good of this band is that all the songs have a very similar sound so they never gonna decapointed you
Very easy listening. Nothing wrong with easy listening every once in a while, but I'm not getting lucky of it this blue monday. I guess I've got to be in the right mood for music like this.

I'm a big Wildhearts fan too. Maybe you'd consider doing some Cardiacs stuff? The Wildhearts video you did was produced by Tim Smith (now Dr Tim!). Could be up your street if you don't know it already. Maybe the live performance of Jibber & Twitch from the Tales From The Rotten Shed DVD? Or something like Everything Is Easy from Mares Nest.

I feel they have created their own sound as time has gone on but still with the obvious influences which is not a bad thing.

I'm going to be 69 in the Spring... I've heard so much music in m lifetime. This band has 2 albums in particular that has been the best music I've heard since the 1980's, IMHO. That speaks volumes... Yes, they are highly influenced by Pink Floyd, but who has't been influenced by someone else? And.. Pink Floyd will not record again so how bad is it then someone carries the torch?
Jim I STRONGLY recommend to listen to Pure Reason Revolution, a great British progressive/psychedelic band. I find them awesome. It would be nice to have your reaction to "The Bright Ambassador Of Mornings", or "In Aurélia". Thanaks :-)

Another good song I like very much is Dare with "Circles".
And if you like also some harder stuff you have still to listen to Ensiferum (Cold Stone Metal) and Amorphis (Amongst Stars).
My favourites at the moment are:
Riverside, Airbag, RPWL, Marillion, Arena, Pendragon, Gazpacho, Bjørn Riis, Dare, Anathema, Amorphis, Wintersun, Ensiferum.
If somebody like the same groups and miss some groups in this list (but not the well known like Pink Floyd, Rush, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson,...) you are welcome to make some proposals to me.
Currently I listen to Mostly Autumn "White Rainbow". Also a great song.

I did hear Steven Wilson and Marillion first, but then it went more toward Pink Floyd and Kitaro with his Casio's. I do find it a bit disappointing, that people take progressive rock as a certain music style composed by certain bands at the certain years. For me progressive rock is... well, in progress all the time. That's why for example Wilson cuts the mustard.
I feel it has a more Steve Hackett feel too it

I hear no "Pink Floyd" kinda thing..... I hear nothing but a superb "Airbag" kinda thing!
What a beautiful sound! I will definitely be delving into their discography. If you want a completely different kind of beautiful sound, hardly any metal elements at all, I recommend The Dear Hunter. They were probably the first band that slung me down this musical rabbit hole. Most of the time I'd suggest starting with their main concept series (or whatever you'd call it) which consist of 5 Acts. However, The Color Spectrum is probably more up your street. They have a huge variety of different prog sounds within their music. For TCS I'd say listen to Therma and for the Acts, start on Act IV at The Bitter Suite IV and V, and also VI which is the next song. Hope you are doing well and enjoy the tunes.

The only Radiohead connection is the band name. Later songs might have a sniff of them but not especially

This is these bands where you listen to whole discography in a row and you are disappointed that it's already done. One of my personal favs.
You definitely need to practice polish language a little bit! Maybe listen to "Coma - Zaprzepaszczone siły wielkiej armii świętych znaków" as your punishment for butchering poor guy name? Just kidding, but you can try to listen to this anyway.
Ok, enough goofing around. Time to get back to Dream Theater! Breaking All Illusions or Illumination Theory. You will not be disappointed....😅
Too Floyd - ish for me actually. There's too much in the way of eerily similar melody lines as well as tone and timbre matching, to boot. Props to them for the music but, these melodic lines have already been done before... Thank you for the complete review Jim.
