I saw them this weekend but they weren't touring with the orchestra. They skipped a lot of songs, including this one, because of it. Next time I see them I'm gonna make sure that they have the orchestra with them. They said they usually tour with them but it was only their second tour stop after being off tour for three years.
Great choice for your favorite. No other music enters into my listening repertoire as often as AP, and I'm 58. Loved them since 1977 when my brother bought me the iRobot LP for a Christmas gift. Changed my life. Enjoy!
I was a teenager in the 80’s, buying Def Leppard, Ratt, and Guns n Roses on cassette. But whenever I would find another APP cassette, I would make sure I got it. I’ve always loved this band and thought they never got the recognition they deserved.
This is absolutely priceless!!! It brings me back all the memories when this song was new and I was younger. Alan Parsons is simply a magician of creating magnificent sounds with sublime and deep messages.
Cuando la tocaron en Jerez, no di crédito. No esperaba que la tocaran. Comenzó el tema y grité un "¡¡Venga ya!!". Dificil de describir la emoción y las lágrimas que derramé cantando este temazo.
I had the privilege to see them and you could get so close (paradiso, amsterdam) you could almost touch them. Also you could walk past the big boxes standing near the podium on the ground, it felt like a massive blast went through your body. And all free too (won tickets on a radio channel). Would love to go again some time. ua-cam.com/video/IKae9Ztwisc/v-deo.html (felt way less crowded though in my memories)
This is proper music. Please give us a new generation that can produce something this epic. Too much temporary music now. There's hardly anything that will last even 5-10 years from now.

I first learned of the breathtaking cathedral in Barcelona from Alan Parsons and visited it in 1994. It has been unfinished for hundreds of years, but is set to be finished in 2026. Here is a link to a great video about the building of the cathedral and its genius creator Antoni Gaudi: ua-cam.com/video/kkNGdzo_3EA/v-deo.html .
This is an excellent live performance. But it's wild how it takes three people to perform one John Miles lead vocal. See him do it here... ua-cam.com/video/zOKUzyFRnx0/v-deo.html. Alan is a terrific singer, BTW. I'm so glad we get to hear more of him in these live shows.
John! We all miss him. Same thing I thought first time I listened to this version, he was a superb vocalist, best Project singer imo. Anyway a good performance, I can say
So glad there is someone who agrees with me. I love Alan's voice; I guess he was just shy in the beginning that he didn't take on more of the vocals on the records? It was seeing a couple of clips of him singing from this same concert that got me interested in the band, and I am so loving discovering so much great music
I am 16 years old and I LOVE this music! I listened all Alan Parsons albums and I am big fan of Prog. Rock sooo there is still have good music listeners :)
I would pay a million dollars for a chance to see Alan Parsons with a full orchestra. I'm 27, and this is hands down my favorite artist of all time!
I saw them this weekend but they weren't touring with the orchestra. They skipped a lot of songs, including this one, because of it. Next time I see them I'm gonna make sure that they have the orchestra with them. They said they usually tour with them but it was only their second tour stop after being off tour for three years.

The man is a genius, not just at writing and performing, but arranging something so complex and masterful.
it's not alan who arranged this but was andrew powell :)

Aunque me enteré faltando solo 2 horas para comenzar el concierto, logré verlo completo. Es un excelente recuerdo. Espectacular, sueño cumplido.

He didn't write the songs and lyrics though. It was Eric Woolfson.
