Pretty soon AI predicted launches off the line will be also acceptable , so human input will be limited to steering wheel only. What a great time to be alive. Bring back stick shift only, no traction control, no DCT. or heck, make it a class within the whole scene.

Just me or did the Evo at the Start had multiple boost leaks? Sounds like it
I know what you mean, but I suspect it's something other than a boost leak.
It's a result of traction control strategies from what I can hear. Definitely a weird vent though.
Sounds like they are using a boost release valve like a blow off valve to bleed off boost for traction control. Allows the turbo to still Make boost for response but the valve releases when needing to reduce wheel slip but doesn't stop engine turbo make Making boost like a timing control can

The bloke with tt Lambo said he wants to do some longer distance events with the car. Do we have any drag racing events that are longer than 1/4 mile? I know racewars in Albany WA used to but that got cancelled a few years ago.
I was thinking the same thing. If there is an event longer than the 1/4 mile in oz i want to know where it is. Unless maybe he will be bringing the car overseas to race it. Half mile mile racing is big in the US
Too dangerous, the speeds these cars do down a unprepped 1/4 are already mind boggling. 1/2 mile or more im certain they would legitimately take flight

Why all solo runs ?
Drag Battle, and all Cootamundra events, are a film film shoot. We send solo so can film just that one car. They race side by side in a separate feature.

But like most of these events all over the world it used to be about cars that Joe bloggs could buy and modify.
Now it takes £500,000 to be the quickest. Well out my reach.
I love all cars and any V engine sounds great and I love these events but these lambos and even r35’s are out of most people’s budget.
It's the nature of racing and modifying cars. The record was 10.0 in a top level car in 2009
