Stagger multiplier isn't actually effected by the amount of hits done, but by the amount of will damage done. Doing Diamond Dust immediately after an enemy is staggered will instantly bring you to 1.5 multiplier most of the time as long as you have it upgraded.
Apparently doing shiva snap dodge during stagger will slow/stop the stagger bar which makes you able to land more hit during enemies stagger state. Couple this with rift slip and you can make the stagger bar last for like 2 mins long
@@mohamadhafiymalek8976 look up like 1million+ Stagger damage combos. JP players have done a few. but efectively the dash dodge of shiva *Frostbite will slow the stagger bar for a split second so you then typically use eikon Ultimates which last several seconds that dont increase the stagger bar. Pair this with Odin: Zansetsuken, Dancing steel, Rift slip. all which have time stop/slow moves and you can pull off atleast 3 Zansetsuken at least in a stagger bar
@@ToshiroKojihonestly, this is something that is ACTUALLY broken, and I will not be using rift slip or cold snap for this purpose during my playthroughs lol. It basically means any boss that gets staggered will die period. It’s cool to see how high damage is physically possible but makes the game less fun if you do it all the time while playing
@@tehCostHD you aint wrong but its not like the game is naturally on the hard side and these techniques are only available in the end game since the most used Eikons are Bahamut, Shiva, Odin. and some of these cant really be used till NG+ due to accecoires reasons and enemy difficulty, and main boss health limits which prevent you from 1 shoting them but i see you your point
@@ToshiroKoji that’s true, it’s not meant to be hard, but I like drawing out fights longer and getting more satisfying combos and counters off. Even if it’s not super hard, the combat is still extremely satisfying to me!
Interesting thing about diamond dust is that it bypasses the maximum stagger damage that can be done when near the half point of the stagger bar. Usually if the enemy is near the half point of the stagger and u do an attack that does major stagger damage (let's say lighting rod) it will only do stagger damage up to that half way point. With diamond dust however, I'm assuming due to the nature of the delay before the second wave of ice, u can chew through the second part of the stagger gauge. So my advice is to use it when the enemy has like a quarter if the first stagger bar left. That way u can get a good head start on the second. And Garuda still works to keep them down even longer
I’m glad to know I’m not alone in seeing the value of Shiva’s Eikonic abilities both when equipped and upgraded, Diamond Dust is just unbelievably satisfying to shred Stagger Gauges with at the end of a sequence.
I just beat Odin last night (thank god that’s over!!) and don’t think I could have done it without Diamond Dust. I’m really looking forward to experimenting with Odin powers in combination with Shiva
Odin is beautiful to play, dancing steel+lightning rod in front of the enemy will make it count as x2 hits and make your zantetsuken fill up instantly its ridiculously fun. And a lot of other fun stuff you can do with odin in general specially with time slip
For all the greatness Shiva has there is one caveat that really brings her down in my mind. From what I have been able to test her Cold Snap ability does not proc Permafrost on a perfectly dodged magic attack. I was absolutely ready to overhaul my entire list of skills, and would have done so if it weren't for that one thing.
can you make a brief guid about accessory’s and whats the best use for ng+ for me im using dire wolf jess ring of demolitionist genji gloves but im not sure if they stack
Until they give us more presets or allow us to remap controls, this is my primary dodge. (No the PS5 remap is not a good alternative unless you like the idea of constantly changing the controls to navigate the menu or play another game.)
Always be Cold Snapping, bosses never get a chance to breathe and you can just wait for cooldowns to refresh, and if you're lucky you'll trigger the time stop.
One of my gripes about this game is that even the strongest enemies aren't immune to status effects. Being able to freeze the strongest monsters in the game and then completely body them, should NOT be a power I have.
Honestly didn’t think of this before…but I was permafrosting mad bosses and it did take away from the difficulty. Although landing the precision dodge always feels good.
That is my gripe with other games. Why have status effects when they don't work well on bosses or work at all. Very few games let us actually have utility like Frostbite and Permafrost do in FF16. That is a GOOD thing. Y'all complain over every little thing that is NOT a flaw at all.

Shiva and odin are easily faves
I agree big time.

I want to play shiva but never knew how to play her properly. Thanks for this. Odin is my other fave. Megaflaring at the start of battle
"Clive spitting bars" 🤣🤣 Loved that lol
Would love to see a Phoenix/Ifrit guide!
I’m finally at the point in the game where I can use this to help.
Shiva is my ace in the hole, she has gotten me out of a lot dire situations. The Winter Queen is highly formidable Eikon 💙💙💙💙
That permafrost ang lightning rod combo is pretty rad, I'll check it out. Never used lightning rod but that's a pretty dope use for it.
6:20 should have clive spitting bars over that insrumental lol
Thanks for the vid, it'd be cool if a future vid had Eikonic loadout suggestions based on playstyle, damage vs will damage, etc.
Another enjoyable video thanks man

great stuff. thanks for sharing.
Yup this was helpful.
Shiva is my favorite
Shiva is trickster❤
Shiva with Lightning Rod and Dancing Blade = easy level 5 Zantetsuken 😮💨
Hey how did you design these animations on a still image at the start of your video? Thanks

an un-upgraded mesmerize actually does a lot of stagger damage

This should’ve been available at launch. You should be able to remap everything but the d-pad

@@65firered I’m aware but there’s literally no reason to change how the d-pad works in this game

No it is a god.
I did permafrost during the cronolith trial and I was like “how did i do that?” so now I’m here.
