@@wetgal22 Hi, I'm not sure why you are assuming what I aimed to do with any fish caught. I've had Ponds and looked after Fish, researched and taught myself about their requirements since about 1981. I don't think I mentioned putting them in a Bowl or Tank did I ? I was helping my Sister with the situation. We managed to net about 14 Goldfish, 2 were already dead. As the Pond was choked with a huge overgrown mass of Water Lily stems, leaves and root mass as big as a person, I thought the trap was a good idea to try and catch any others left in there, as we don't know how many there are meant to be and I'm pretty sure I saw at least one other, but it just kept going into hiding amongst the plants. I don't know the outcome yet. Anyway, I hope you find this interesting. If you have any other ideas, let me know.
You fish in that dump site? Next time you feel the need to do something near the shore, try tidying it up. Rather than making a fishtrap from a plastic bottle, get a plastic bag and collect all the waste and then recycle it or at the very least throw it away properly.

The Drive for the food gets them through the hole but once inside they can't see the hole they came in and can't escape
