- Hang with me while I massively declutter my books for a move. I share my hot takes and commentary on my favorite books, authors, and decluttering at large, as I decide what to keep and what to donate.
2 WAYS TO SUPPORT A LOCAL/INDIE BOOKSHOP OF YOUR CHOICE:
(1) BOOKSHOP.ORG - I did my best to gather links for the books that I mention in this video, and you can find them at bookshop.org/s... (I earn a 10% affiliate commission when you shop through my storefront, no change in cost to you.) To date, Bookshop.org has raised $35,863,280.39 for local/indie bookstores. (2) LIBRO.FM - Libro's catalog has 500,000+ titles, including bestsellers. When you use my link, I earn book credits (your cost doesn't change; plz and thanks): libro.fm/refer...

So my question is, what do I do with the books that I am weeding out? I’d like to sell them and get a little money if I could. I don’t want to just give them to something like Goodwill, but I don’t know that there are bookstores in my area that buy books. Any advice?
@@vickipruett I’m not sure, I’m sorry, Vicki! 🫣 My priorities for this declutter sound different than yours (which is fine!)-I just REALLY wanted to lighten my load. Like you, I didn't love the idea of my books languishing in a heap at just any secondhand store, and I didn't think my city had an independent bookstore ... but I'm ecstatic to report that a new one (female-owned!) popped up in the last couple of years! I found it online with a quick search, so that's where I donated. I think that I could have received store credit, but that would defeat my purpose. I don’t know much about the secondhand book market.
