    At the end of the class, they engage in what Bhikkhu Bodhi called the "sharing of the merits". Punnanumodana

      Actually. There really is no permanence whatsoever. Just a flow of momentary events (at all levels), coming together according to causes and conditions. But that flow is impermanent too.
      Even if you look at the law of entropy, you can see... Everything decays. And if you look at the expansion of the universe, it will totally tear apart at some point.... Including the atoms.
