Iirc Maryland was supposed to be scrapped under the Washington Naval Treaty but because the Japanese Navy was never going to give up Mutsu and with the British Empire having no ships with 406mm guns as they had yet to lay down the G3 which had contrary to what historians say were to use 419mm (16.5") guns not 406mm guns (16") so she was saved

now give Maryland a retrofit! She needs it! I feel she'll get something like her sisters consisting of hightech gear and face mask, she already has 2 skills, so maybe the retrofit can upgrade her Fighting Mary skill
