Disney is going to bleed every once of blood out of the Star Wars franchise. It’s sad the only movies these studios care about is big budget comic book movies that make Billions it’s a sad state of affairs with movies as a whole today.

I wasn't completely against this movie when it came out. I had an ok time at the movies. The thing I really didn't like is that we still didn't know at the end what the deal was with Rey. And Snoke...what was he all about now he's dead? And then "The Rise of Skywalker" happened. And then I thought: "Wow...what a shitty trilogy this is!"
Six years later have happened and this movie still sucks. I always hated what they did to mark Hamill’s character in this film ever since I first saw it in theaters. Such disrespect to the luke skywalker character
my dad hates the force awakens but likes the Last Jedi personally I like the original trilogy and Revenge of the Sith and maybe Rogue one all the others suck I haven't even seen all of them
As divisive as the prequels are, even they didn't inspire the intense sort of reaction that this movie got. Matt, if you don't like this movie, that's perfectly okay. What I find interesting is the number of accusations that the Star Wars franchise has become too political now. If you thought this movie was unsubtle in its themes, that's an acceptable criticism. But I find that saying Star Wars is suddenly political is rather weird, as the movies have always been political. It's a franchise where the heroes are called: "Rebels". George Lucas had always said that the original trilogy was meant as a metaphor for the Vietnam war, which he made especially obvious in Return of the Jedi, where the more technologically advanced empire is unexpectedly defeated by The Ewoks, whom they completely underestimated. George has also stated that he based Emperor Palpatine on Richard Nixon as well as burrowed a lot from WWII, and again... he wasn't subtle about that either. The Empire's soldiers are called: "Storm Troopers", and a lot of the shots in the movie were copied directly from Triumph of the Will. On top of that, his rise to power in the prequels is similar to how Hitler gained power in Germany. And again, Lucas himself stated that that was intentional. JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson were merely following in his footsteps in their depiction of The First Order. One term I often see thrown around these days is: "Social Justice Warrior", and I understand what that's suppose to imply, but whenever I hear that term, I just think of Robin Hood. I especially find it interesting when I hear the new Star Wars movies referred to as: "SJW propaganda". I mean... what did you think the rebels were doing in the original trilogy? They weren't flying X-wings just because they felt like it.
Last Jedi is the Biggest piece of Garbage ever made and it split the Star Wars fanbase and it helped destroy the franchise and it has never really recovered. The Prequels are Masterpieces compared to the Dogshit Sequel trilogy.
I'm actually glad that TLJ was as bad as it was. It saved us from enduring endless Star wars content. Don't get me wrong, we're still getting endless star wars sh!t, but at least it's been relegated to Disno plus.
To me the only good Disney Star Wars movie to me is rogue one that I actually gave a chance, but the rest of the other Disney, Star Wars movies sucked ass
