Ive had an itch to play a golf game. So far what ive bought hasnt really scratched the itch. I picked up the golf club 2019 and it plays and looks great. However, the always online crap means i cany make any progress. Are there any of these games that dont require an internet connection? Id like to play, progress and upgrade my equipment without NEEDING to be connected to the internet.
I started yesterday and I liked the begin level and played the Q Tour. Easy to make selections the only lousy thing about the game is unplugging the usb from other devices to make the game run on the PC
There’s a lot to say about the 2K golf games. I’ll start with this and might add more later lol. I definitely agree this game is graphically lacking. That goes for the other 2K golf games as well. I feel like Tiger Woods PGA Tour ‘14 gives them a pretty good run for their money. Another thing, which a Tour player even commented on before 2K21 released is that they have the tee heights all wrong. Irons are teed up too high and it just looks wrong. Example being the par 3 at 11:50. Can you do that in real life? Yes, sure. But I’ve certainly never seen anyone do it. Also, I agree the animation could use work. I particularly am not fond of the swing animations. They just look kind of bad; like unathletic swings that lack effort to advance the ball. And physically they don’t look great. I don’t really know how to fully describe it. And something you won’t notice normally but I just happened to see as I was watching frame by frame, at 11:56 you can see the ball still on the tee in the frame where the club head has already swung past it’s position on the tee. And just before impact, that club face is wide open so there’s no way that swing would result in a good shot, but that goes into the animation needing work. And now I’m noticing that the hips are basically square at this point and appear to have little to no rotation. And the golfer almost looks like he’s squatting down against a barstool; like the posture is pretty upright. The weight looks like it’d be on his heels or very close. I thought 2K used motion capture for this? So if they did, why are swing animations so bad?
I've had this game almost 3 years and it's a great game despite its flaws. It's the only game that never goes unplayed. Great skill progression, gut- wrenching misses, moments of elation, beautiful courses. Great fun to play against someone else while you're hanging out together. Nothing I've seen would convince me that either pga2k23 or the new EA golf game are much better. Best €15 I've ever spent. Slán leat!
@@NewNineGolf it's hard to comprehend in this day in age that games from the past had all we wanted. TW 14 had it all, even the Legendary player's and some LPGA player's, even when creating a woman, they can play a full LPGA season with all mayor's. I still play TW 14 and is very challenging with the highest difficulty settings that makes it a Sim.
@@NewNineGolf inoniacly, 2k make the best games back on the 2000's. NFL 2K5, all the NHL games, now they venturing in Golf games. Another example is how incredible is to believe that a game that came out in 2007 with no NFL license is till being played today with way better game play, All Pro Football 2k8, the last 2k game.
Just downloaded this game for free on the ps4 pro and it doesn’t work… it freezes and crashes every round I play. I just uninstalled it but really enjoyed the game when I could play it.
I want a damn ultimate frisbee league game and a disc golf game. Regular golf is okay but they havent made a good golf game since late 90s early 00s. Is anyone besides EA allowed to do a sports game? Cuz it doesnt seem like it. This game is okay and i do like it but they didnt even add any kind of skill building or level up stats so it all feels pointless. Let us build our damn characters skills how hard is that. Its like people who make games have never played one.
It's ok, sadly its really the only current golf title right now. TW was way better, this just lacks soul. After many rounds, distance control is my biggest complaint, very rare I get an approach shot to end up where I planned for it to go. I just dont get an immersive feel like I'm on tour competing for the cup, it just doesnt quite hit the mark, 3 out of 5 stars
I bought 2k21 at a discount and played it for a short time. As a golf simulation it is absolutely awful. Four versions and they still don't have pot bunkers. You can't use basic real life golf options like moving your ball position on the tee box or gimmes. The short game is pure fantasy. You can use a 5 iron and hit their so called pitch shot with a carry of 134 yards and the trajectory of a 9 iron. If you could this in real golf the pros would be hitting pitch shots on the 17th at Sawgrass. For this version they added what they refer to as a splash shot. However you can hit a splash shot from any lie including the green. They obviously do not even know what a splash shot is. Their flop shot has a minimum carry distance of 43 yards so I guess the developers have never seen Mickelson play. Their training is a joke. What they should have is the option to play any course with unlimited mulligans, choose the holes you want to play and be able to place the ball where you want so you can practice things like uphill, downhill putts and putts with a lot of break. As it is now for example, if you want to find out what club to hit with various wind speeds on the 17th at Sawgrass you have to play 7 holes before getting there and then only have one shot at it as there are no mulligans allowed. All the courses no matter how well done all have the same look as the course designer limits you to their themes and canned objects. You see the same backgrounds, buildings and objects over and over again. As an example of how limited the course designer is there are divots on the tee boxes of 600 yard par 5s because if you want to add divots on tee boxes it is all of them or none. I personally think that the developers have never played the real game. Now that they have competition from EA they will have to greatly improve their product to appeal to people like me who are avid golfers.
~13 minutes. I agree totally. I love this game and play a round or two almost every day. But it is the random "inexplicable" results that frustrate me to no end. To be fair, it is predictable/understandable 95% + of the time ... For example, as you set up your shot I looked at it: heavy rough, right lie and thought to myself, "Right and Very Short." Instead it went left and long. I've seen puts "take" a break that doesn't show. And I've seen puts go straight through a break that does show. I've also seen puts be "slow enough" that it's affected by a very slight break ... but somehow be fast enough to run out 7 feet past the hole. Again ... MOST of the time, I love the game. But every now and then ... rage. Just Like Real Golf! (tm) :D
Terrible game. PS3 graphics. Broken handicap. Broken leaderboards and devs that have NEVER repaired the game. Clubs, I mean "societies" full of 21 under per rounds and the people who run them will kick you out for any dissent just like the 2K21 forum.

You can buy hard copy’s of 2k and just not play online.
Very good video. More than anything, though, thank you so much for using the correct word “Than” in your title.
Haha thanks for the feedback!
Does this game allow multiplayer matches on the same console? Or just versus online?

Could have been great if the developers had stayed awake when the made it. Too many corners cut and it shows in certain elements of gameplay
If you are playing 2 players with a friend. How do you give yourself handicaps in this game?
go for the knees.
Can 2 friends play career together locally each with their own character like on the old Tiger Woods games?

Until a game that has the license for all 4 mayors and more courses like TW 14 had, anything less is uncivilized.
