This is a great idea‼️ It's the new thing in food therapy. My ancestors ate healthy and so did we. Nobody got sick. No cancer. My mom had a good salad with dinner every night. I had Slip and Fall broke my Patella and got Fibromyalgia. Then I learned I have Lupus. I'm in complete pain inside and out. I never had opiates. Thank you 💕🙏✌️
Oh gosh!! I’m an EM physician and empath. Tough stuff. Also this area of addressing one’s anxiety is one corner of my life. The rest of my “room” has become like I am a walking epidemiology lab. Nutritional Psychiatry is a big part. How can I contribute to your work in this way?
Both of you are fascinating I could listen all day 💕🙏 With my cognitive effects from Fibromyalgia and Lupus and inflammation this makes so much sense❗ I've been wanting to go to our Bavarian Bakery for almost a decade now. I forget because it's not on my food list. Either is fast food. I actually get a sick feeling after sweets. I do eat a small piece of Dark Chocolate after dinner. My Dad did it also. My mom was a salad lady. She visited my godmother in Hollywood and learned how to make a real Caesar salad ‼️
I have myself experienced benefits of an anti-inflammatory diet. Just by taking gluten (which is known to be inflammatory) out of my diet, I have greatly reduced my seizures (I have refractory epilepsy)😊. Taking gluten out of my diet was much easier than I thought.
Sorry to say this, but this video was a complete waste of time. Dr Naidoo said in the last 5 minutes of the video that anxiety is triggered by foods that are causing inflammation in the body and those foods are disrupting the leptin balance causing you eat more. That's all. Read Ultra-processed People by Dr Chris van Tulleken with every page full of information. This interview was complete disappointment. Not sure Naidoo's books are worth reading because all I heard was public health chat with nothing specific - no foods listed as examples. What I can tell is that natural protein has mood stabilising properties and even that is not mentioned here. Sorry.
Ultra processed people is truly an amazing book-it enlightening, and makes you angry at how greed is hurting health around the globe. I also watched “The poison Squad “ about food adulteration (there’s a book as well). There are so many resources.
I don't think you were listening very good. She mentioned a list of foods that cause anxiety such as salad dressings, artificial sweeteners, Starbucks, ketchup, pasta sauces, vegetable oils, etc. I got alot out of this interview and have the authors books. I recommend you listen to it again.
These types of videos are just upsetting. This does a disservice to people with actually anxiety, and downplays our plight. If your anxiety is from food, lucky you. Those of us who eat healthy and still have anxiety, who have had lifelong anxiety, know better.
@@Eliokd If you have anxiety, try an elimination diet and if it helps, I would be very happy for you. Then you have a food allergy or sensitivity. If it doesn’t, then you actually have anxiety.
@TeeAnn thank you for the good advice. My anxiety seems to stem from a physiological issue and not a psychological one so I will give the elimination diet a go. I hope you find relief from your anxiety as well❤️
It makes sense what she says and I appreciate it. But, it looks like she talks the talk, but not walk the walk. In other words, she is like a dentist with rotting teeth....

This physician is a wealth of information. Thanks

Maybe the food you think are healthy are not really healthy
