No it's incorrect information. Korean "Trot" and Japanese "Enka" are both came from Korean traditional folk music. Trot is not came from Enka and Enka is not came from Trot. There were many Japanese people who live in Korea in Japanese occupation era. Koga Masao is a father of Enka and he was one of them. He lived in Korea 11 years and he was heavily influenced by Korean folk songs at that time(He admitted it himself). Trot and Enka are siblings who have same parents(Korean traditional folk music).

I think I first heard trot music while watching the kdrama 'Reply 1988' since it was set in the 80s and 90s and therefore was played there a lot, but I didn't know then that it was called 'trot'.
