  • Margaret lost her husband Ian in the Falklands War, just two weeks after they married.
    40 years on she's still in touch with many of Ian's colleagues from HMS Argonaut, including Navy veteran Paddy.
    We joined them at the National Memorial Arboretum as they looked forward to attending our event to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands War.

    The Royal British Legion have for decades supported UK Veterans and their families, however in recent years we’ve seen a decline in services as they continue to close respite centres, drop in centres and hubs for veterans.
    while they hoard large sums of public donations and their staff salary bill reaches over £45m per year.
    They are selling buildings off at a vast rate and reducing their reach for vulnerable veterans, their conduct is questionable and it’s almost impossible to get anyone to take ownership of this lawless charity!
