Thanks so much Baron. This intermediate series is just what I needed at this point. I'm a novice with a few tunes under my belt, and mainly play melodies ... not very good at strumming chords yet. This got me over a brick wall that I feel i met months ago where I keep practicing the same tunes over and over and not progressing other than speed. This new dimension will help me with all of the tunes I'm trying to learn.
Excellent lesson! This one is very helpful to me for moving from playing a single note melody to making a full sounding tune! I don't think I've seen it explained better anywhere.
I was doing exactly what you demonstrated! At Irish sessions the tunes are usually played 3 times through, so that's another reason to practice them that way.
I will echo that comment. I've played Galopede for years on more than one instrument, but I have never had anyone show me how to go beyond the melody -- until now. This is exactly the help I have needed for a long time and I'm sure many others as well. Have a great holiday, Baron, and thank you so much!
Hi Baron im an early learner, just trying my best but dont know any bluegrass music. 2 months teaching myself as well as your great demos and tutorials : ) thankyou and wish you a merry christmas x
