I've seen this before, but watching it again. This has to be at least 10 years old, and I hope that these families made it out of poverty.
I thought I had seen this before and was old back in the Bush years.
Highly doubt it. They are just the next generation of impoverished Americans
I've seen it maybe 3 times and I always feel the same. You get so emotionally invested in the kids and parents.
I watched it 2 years ago for the first time. Second time watching it now. Humbling ❤
Oh my, Ive also seen this and am watching it again.
this made me tear up. the girls are so mature for their age. i hope they have grown up and are living an amazing lfe
I remember this show. It’s absolutely tragic that people have to live like this, especially children.
This is the Quad Cities. I grew up in the Quad Cities and it was rough. What is highlighted here still goes on to this very day. It's sad.
It would be nice to have a where-are-they-now update
Some things never change. This is 10 years old and it's just as bad... if not worse!
2004. 20 years
This is an old documentary. Does anyone have any updates on these families?
Kayleigh mum is such a strong lady mother and a caring loving mum hope she has a better future
This is at least the 4th time this same documentary has been re-released in a few years.
Yes ... but it makes a very telling point
Foodbanks are a blessing 🙌
Food banks were not around when I had my kids in the seventies, it would have kept us from being hungry.
Gawd bless Murica 🥴 🖕
this documentary has already been uploaded many times they should do where are the families today and have they gotten out of poverty and has their lives in proved 🤨😡🤔😢
This is so sad… the United States of Gilead… faild its people so bad 😢
Sarah has my whole heart 😭🩵
Mine too
I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. What is happening is criminal, while our politicians rally for votes for themselves from people who are in situations just, which is a large minority right now. What happens when they are voted into office? It’s what constituents? Homelessness IS an epidemic right now and getting worse. As a senior member of this in the community. I’ve seen a lot but nothing like this. Children shouldn’t have to be this mature or suffering. These children are older in mind than their years. The situations are not the children’s fault. We need to fix this problem, and our economy.
Speak for yourself 🤓 🖕
I hope those youngs girls have a good life now
It’s a fantastic documentary film, but it’s been on YT before for many years. Maybe on another channel, I’m not sure. Definitely worth watching. But it’s quite old now.
I'm impressed by Sarah. I wonder where she is nowadays
Do those kids get picked on in school, the neighborhood, or other places where children congregate?
Why aren't they interviewing the mom? something stinks here.
It's "growing up" poor that's why 😊
Did you read the title?
Just focuses on the children.
Her mum could've gotten ground beef and cooked it straight away when they got home to eat
I agree that made me tear up.
The motel doesn’t have a stove, neither a fridge.
@ssmfetti I thought she got one of those little counter top stove things with the one or two burners you know what I mean? I think theyre used mostly for dorms and small places. My mistake sorry about that.
@@t.ellevision She should’ve, instead of buying sodas & junk but hindsight is 20/20. Sometimes a lot of money that should go to kids or the right things, go to vices. Some moms are notorious with neglect.
@@t.ellevision I think what you’re referring to are called portable stoves.
We have free healthcare in Australia
Why doesn't America have agencies who furnish homes with second hand furniture including beds linen blankets & washing machines for free?
Republican state Why aren't I surprised
😢❤
If you can't feed them don't breed them
Same video, different title 👎
Maybe we should all leave the country and then come back across the border and ask for asylum due to economic hardship in your home country. According to the Biden/Harris administration, you can get lots of free stuff; money, food, housing, cars and jobs.
Just leave you don’t need to come back.
Go right ahead
Go on
It's easy, right?
Okay, all you need to do is go down on your knees and accept that Jesus Christ is your lord and saviour and give me 10% of everything you make once a week.
