Mine did. Put it on the day before and then went on a trip up to the mountains. A couple of hours into the trails, I checked on it and it was already starting to rub on the top of the grill. Took it off right there on the trail. Might be fine for on road use, but the shaking on rough roads was too much for the little bit of clearance between the grill and hood.
Hey, so i just installed avs bug deflector on my 4runner too but after installing, it won’t latch on. Did you do any adjustments? Or you just push the hood down hard?
I had it on and had to slam my hood every time. I checked after a week of driving and the deflector scratched off the pain on top of my grill. I took it off and threw it away.
