- New day, new Hoyoverse Drama. This time if firmly believe the title of nuclear drama is actually valid for once. It might just be me but everyday we get closer to the release of Wuthering waves the crowned Genshin killer, it seems the Hoyoverse space as a whole becomes more chaotic. This time the drama is related to Honkai Star rail and Hoyoverse preferred CCs. It is nice at least to take a break from Genshin drama and see what is going on the Honkai side. Large Hoyo creators like Brtaxophone and Mtsahed find themselves involved in the Drama once again but this time its not quite their fault so we will look at what they have to say about this situation.

One of their execs became a part CCP so that they wouldn't be affected by Hoyo Haters reporting them to CCP for the non-issues. That's how they circumvented the 3 fates drama in CN.

The reality is that nobody was watching mtashed for guides. We watch him to ridicule him for the meltdowns and shit takes (his last chiori video for example) As for people “losing” views to those preferred CCs it’s also a nonissue because most people who are looking up guides are not going to watch one video and be done. They’ll watch several different videos. Also if you have cultivated a following around your channel then your subs will come to you for that particular kind of video. For example of someone wants in-depth math/TC meta analysis of a character they’re going to wait for Genshin Scientist or Jstern’s video regardless of who has access first.

All they had to say was… we will pick a few ccs at the start but we have a good list of ccs we would love to add in the future ty and things wouldn’t be so bad
All this damage control and cc drama is just a huge turn off. i feel like most of us just started feeling unappreciated and w/o much to go on ppl started looking through the social communities for answers. causing most of the cc's to get stuck on it or sucked into it. but in the end its about genshin, and if hoyo doesn't show love it wont matter what the cc's do.
He gives his impression about new characters. He will obviously lose view If his impression is about characters that are already past the novelty status. Also, genshin doesn't have enough content to make videos about anything else other than guides, pulling for five stars or exploring a region for the first time.
That's why people do social content inside Genshin and upload it as "Genshin Content".
1 - This is a CC issue, not an issue for us consumers at all
2 - You can talk about the content, you simply cannot use the footage
3 - It's their IP they can do whatever the heck they want
Yes I do want everybody to have access to the content because that helps me, the consumer, the most, but we aren't any worse off.
Ya'll fans need to get off the CC's d's and stop riding for either them or the company. Content creators acting like we watch them for anything new when everything has been leaked months ago😂
Your content is your personality and guides and CC's can still make those especially when hoyo puts the numbers out, just don't use the footage and do your job🤷🏿♂️
It is an issue for viewers. The video is like double edge sword. What if those cc under MHY program is actually fake and care about the money. They can heavily promoted new character and make it hype, then player gacha for it. Only to be disappointed later on.
Remember Jing Yuan? Oh yeah. Overhyped. Everyone praise him as he is God. But the truth is not. After kafka release, everyone starts to hate this character even more. They just left with empty wallet and regrets.
@znzz1146 do you remember Dehya? I don't remember a single content creator, including the ones who had access to the creator server, who was positive about her, yet their videos still came out, approved by Mihoyo.

Other than that, we get info from leaks, I personally have never waited for Braxophone to release a guide for me to decide wether to pull. I look at leaks and calc the value, look at the design and make up my own mind.
90% of the people pull on day freaking one. You think they're waiting for Brax's opinion?
CC's are entertainment, leaks are info. That's all there is to it.
Actually they can say if a character is bad or not. They just can't talk about bugs or glitches that they may encounter during the testing. That's what I understood. it's just a case of Jealousy of not being selected for the creator program. They can still make contents if they want to, it's just that they seems to be jealous that they don't get to test the game early.

Wrong title, HoYo made a master movement for their interests, althought I can't really take sides, I've already left theoryctaft videos since they're many times very inaccurate (Bennett, Ganyu, Kazuha, Raiden, Kokomi, Nilou, Yaoyao, etc.) they just release a video as fast as they can just to be the first one milking views, now HoYo does this to get them in it's hands, fun thing is seeing Brax justifying the union after the "cancel" HoYo they made recently, so I as a player have to reject HoYo and they can just do good deals? Well nice thing online guides are accurate and found easily on google
I always often prefer guides that come out much later. KQM is a really good example of that. Zajef is good at catching stuff early on but he generally seems to be a stupid man when it comes to handling public relations.
Also doesn't this only apply to leaks and not actual guides ?

basically, "content creators" earn money from us. we don't wanna idolize them, they literally earn their livings cuz of us. they just emotionally manipulate us with their "content" and make us spend money on hoyo games. best part is hoyo or other company will gave them money to do that.
and in the other hand hoyo emotionally manipulate us with character design, voice acting, animations, and pointless made-up stories and make us spend our money. if you're f2p hoyo pay us with primos to play their game. roughly 100~120$ per 6 weeks, and you need to work for them aka play the game at least 40~60h in this 6 weeks, with this active player count they sell their stocks and strikes more collabs with other big companies and more money. some people really unstable they easily get emotional and try to defend or protect this fictional characters with made up stories. who made this stories, few random people live in china. and some people shipping characters and trying to satisfy their weird fetishes. hoyo need more money so they developed more games so they can earn more money, "so you don't like genshin rewards, go play hrs instead" yeey more money for hoyo. this two groups need money so they do anything and everything to get more people and emotionally manipulate them. so they're sucking money and time from us,
so what we get in the end? mentally unstable, empty pocket, 3d models stored far away in a hoyo server you can't even see with out a good device, problems and friends we made along the way and financial and emotional damage

Hoyoverse is intentionally aggravating its community for relevancy. I noticed this cause each time there is a dry patch, Hoyoverse will release something to rile up the community for engagement. Lantern right rewards that caused a literal movement in CN, which got out of hand when Genshin ccs made drama about HSR ccs. Purposely not addressing very avoidable situations, constantly ignoring pleas from improvement, and literally blacklisting outspoken ccs instead of taking it as notes to improve.
Anniversary debackle was avoidable, but they chose to not give the requested 5 star, much to the dismay of many. Cc Test server implemented, despite people's request for Open beta servers instead. Literally everything about Genshin.
It's tiring.

IWTL who has been part of this server for years now posted a response, and in it he said he has the right to point out any bad things about a character (and if you watch his stuff you know he has in the past done so). What you are not allowed to is go on a hate rant.

Maybe Hoyo should just release the leaks for the public themselves and put a reminder that "this is a work in progress" or something. Atleast when it comes to characters. I personally dont like getting spoiled when there is a new area, story cutscenes, and new bosses.

Maybe hire better staff, sure they can hire better people with the amount of money they are getting. i haven't seen any other gacha games leaks. If they had care about leakers they would have done something about it, instead it has been 3 years and still we see leaks of genshin.

As far as I know, only big cc can join MHY program. They sign a contract and get paid. It is like publisher and those cc like journalist. My late dad is journalist. There is no freedom. He can't say anything without it being reviewed. It hurts him cause he can't tell the truth. At the end only profits matter. Fake news? Who cares.
You are really love on hating something and then attach it to CCP. Its still within a business world, like it or not. You know one way to stop characters leaks on your game? Don't put the characters data on the game files till it's time for it to release and when it's time for the release then add the data during a patch/maintenance on the day before release. Having the game down once a month for a day for maintenance to add a character doesn't hurt anyone.
And if ppl say "oh but my daily stuff" pls they can give you that stuff by mail at anytime. The fact that you have to log in and claim it or you lose it it's just to keep you log in. Many games if you miss even a month and you have a daily pass they will send you that stuff on mail for when you get back in the game. It's not hard to do.
I can understand hoyo for now. But if its experiment ok but if they continue to choose only specific ccs then it eill be a problem.
I think they will only choose the guide ytbers with quite high number of subs and less of a controversial harsh words with it (and meme based yt). So yeah probably CC like tectone is out of the question

If this was truly leaked and not announced by Hoyo itself, then yes this is a big f-ing problem and shows how utterly disingenuous Hoyo is with EVERYTHING they do.
They flat out drew the line between the people they want and the people they don't in order to take down those who keep throwing the shade they deserved. And I'd say playing Devil's Advocate here is meaningless cuz, well, they clearly have the resources to keep a tight security plus more, they have been doing this with Honkai Impact 3rd for years, but NOW it is a problem for them? That's bs. If they can't afford to have a proper QA team rather than finding some randos on the internet, it's a greed problem.
At first I tried to feel sympathy over the preferred CCs that will get targeted for being with Hoyo, but then I realized that they are in fact a bunch of sell out bastards. They are not doing what they do out of their love for the game, they're doing it out of necessity. Their wish to become a youtuber became their job where they have to listen to their boss or otherwise they'll get fired/blacklisted. Those people aren't being honest with their guides/reviews/content in general, just like Hoyo. Why would I feel bad over someone who doesn't give a damn about the game they play? They are chasing whatever paycheck they earn, and push anyone who is on their way.
I'd say the boycott should extend its goals: Unfollow whoever is on the side of Hoyo. Don't go and dislike their video or report them, just get people to ignore that bunch of rats.

Usually I do have a concrete and all the resources laid out systematically, just I didn't have the confidence I usually do compared to my typical videos.

Indirectly, hsr devs team make players to like leakers even more. They can be transparant, uncensored, brutally honest about upcoming characters. Cc outside the MHY will be even more valuable to watch. People will like to support them cause not paid to make the video. Nice moves, MHY.

@@Biimow Yes, Braxophone addressed this in his video. He also revealed much about the confirmation process that him, and every other content creator in the creator server, have to go through to upload their content. It should clear up any doubts about the genuineness of the content they push.

I think the issue of trust toward CC and hoyo is way overblown here. Yes CC will always have to submit their videos for permission and what hoyo dont allow is slander and hate rant or also the use of harsh words toward content and hoyo themselves. They CAN still explain both pros and cons, and the verdict even if they are just bad or sidegrade or powercrept. Brax and IWTL have already explained this.
