We are reserved for the July 5th tour. My wife was born in Panama (US Naturalized Citizen). Would she need a Visa to relocate to Panama? Or can she immediately apply for a cedula and Panamanian Passport?
@@PanamaRelocationTours Thank you. She will bring her Panamanian birth certificate. Would she be able to acquire both the cedula and passport while we are on the tour?
@@albaptist3385 there will not be time to get a cedula or passport during the tour. You would need to arrive a week early or stay on extra week after the tour.
This was a great session! Definitely respect and admire Robert for his in turn respect for the people and culture of Panama. He didn't whine and complain about what was not available, didn't moan about "how slow things move," but spoke of his admiration for Pedasi and it's people. Well done indeed!
My wife and I went on a Panama Relocation Tour - It was awesome. We didn't get to see Pedasi, but we will when go back in November!!!!! Oh, and we will look up Robert!
A most enjoyable episode. Our family was in the Azuero Peninsula July 2023 and were in Playa Venao and the breathtaking Playa Cambutal. Unfortunately, We didn’t have time to stop in Pedasi. Panama is one of the countries my spouse and I want to retire to part time. Thank you for sharing!
Pedasi is a nice place.... very laid back and not crowded. Shout out to Dennis, his goat and his own brewed beer! I do want to point out the power was out for two days prior to our arrival at Dennis's place and one night after dinner at Smileys (great place) the power when out in that part of town.
So much of this sounds good and would work well for me. I'm guessing it's rather hot there everyday. That will take some getting used to. I like your spirit and your willingness to learn Spanish at your age. I really like the cost of living too.
You have me thinking of Pedasi. Were you always this relaxed; or does Pedasi life make it easy to relax? Do you think a novice fisher could do okay? I love to be out on a boat. I will check climate, but I imagine it's hot. Does the sea breeze help to keep cool?
Looks like a nice place to retire on a budget. For me it is a little too small a town to live in ... I'm a city boy. Panama is a great place with lots to offer - whether the big city, the medium size cities, the beaches, the mountains, and the rural countryside.
This was one of my favorite videos so far in the PRT video library. Robert is so great!! What an amazing attitude and kindness towards the locals. He's doing everything right! I thought he was around 70 tops! Can't wait to get my hands on that guide. haha! :) I'll get it free after I take the tour in March '25! What a deal, wow. I'm more interested in Pedasi now after watching the video. Thanks, Robert! If I'm in the area, I'll look you up!!! :)
I lived in Panama for 8 years before repatriating because of health reasons. I made several trips before moving. Went to Pedasi. I liked it, but it was too far away from good health services. I settled in Boqueron, a bit west of David.
@@PanamaRelocationTours I’m an older single woman, coming over on my own. It’s intimidating, but I’m working hard on learning Spanish so I can become part of the community. Fishing Pedasi. Your Video has this Retired Cold Canadian Hooked on Pedasi, hope to meet you some day on the water with Rods in hand.
Robert kept saying "being an ex-pat" but then said he went to the u.s embassy to get his drivers license renewed and was taken right away. .so which is it.. is he a panama citizen or still american citizen and is subjected to dual tax?
He is an American citizen with a permanent residency visa that allows him to live in Panama indefinitely. No tax in Panama unless you sell products or services in Panama.
Sounds like a wonderful place to retire. I’m currently exploring SE Asia. Would be nice to know what the dating is like in Panama. I’m 64, single and ready to mingle😂

I did not listen so wonder, as Panama humidity is legendary, any mention of average humidity and mosquito levels by month?
it depends on where you live.
Looking forward to watching from Oregon
Depends on where ,someone suggests , but is not this video about Pedasi? So start there!?

Only problem is Civil unrest, close roads ,lite tires & pallets on fire, food ran out & then gas shortage, I was there in oct/ nov
Protests happens but it's RARE. Protests are announced a few days in advance so it gives you plenty of time to stock up on food, gas and propane.
